Boston’s baseball team never broke the curse in the Fallout universe.

    Posted: 29 May 2021 05:43 PM PDT

My fellow ball fans will know exactly what I'm speaking about. The infamous Curse of the Bambino that started in 1918 when Babe Ruth left Boston for New York.

The news reporter in the beginning states that Boston is playing Texas in the World Series of 2077 and if they win it'll be the first title since 1918.

The bombs dropped that day before what I assume would be a much anticipated Game 7 of the 2077 World Series.

As a Yankee fan, this made me smile.

Fallout 3: I seem to spend all my time just dealing with items.

    Posted: 29 May 2021 01:00 PM PDT

I've been playing fallout 3 on 360, never played any of the other ones.

I feel like I'm spending way more time collecting things and dealing with them than actually doing quests and stuff. But if I don't collect everything and sell it I run out of amo/aid too fast. Feels like everywhere I go I'm just grabbing everything, aside from the worthless crap, getting weighed down, and then having to go through it, stash stuff random places, come back for it later etc.

How much time do you spend scavenging? Should I not bother grabbing so much stuff? Tips?

How about an active and Sons of Anarchy style biker gang in the next fallout?

    Posted: 29 May 2021 01:48 PM PDT

I've been playing Days Gone and seeing that the main character is basically a biker in a post apocalyptic world i was thinking that having something like that in a fallout game would be cool. A fully functional biker gang, i know that the great khans were something like that but i mean a gang that would also ride their bikes. Something similar to the style of Sons of Anarchy, they are a minor faction that you can join and go trough their struggles and in the end you will even get patched and receive your own bike that you can slowly customize.

Do bobbleheads enable you to get specials over 10?

    Posted: 29 May 2021 03:28 PM PDT

Replaying fallout 4. Was wondering if bobbleheads enable you to get more than 10 for the special stat. For example if I had 10 charisma and got the bobblehead would I have 11. If yes does this work if your stat isn't maxed out. For example having perception 7 then getting it to 8 with bobble head then could I upgrade it to 10 to have a total of 11?

Is choosing House the fastest way to complete FNV’s story?

    Posted: 30 May 2021 12:06 AM PDT

I was playing through FNV and it's my first play through. I noticed that I'm already almost through the main story after a short period of time. I only had to win the Boomers over and destroy the Brotherhood of Steel as well as deal with the casinos. I haven't encountered most of the other minor factions I don't think. But I'm already about to head to the battle of Hoover Dam.

I wanted to ask. Is House the fastest campaign? And at what level should I deviate from the main quest and just explore/do side quests usually? I want to go through and beat the other campaigns so open to any advice.

I’m already vilified with powder gangers?

    Posted: 29 May 2021 09:24 AM PDT

I'm about 6 hours in, and the only thing I did is kill joe Cobb and his group when they were fighting goodsprings, and killed about 5 of them because they shot at me. I also saved the slaves from Legion Raid Camp. Any explanation?

Anyone else experiencing the weight bug where it says you're overweight but in your pip boy it says you aren't?

    Posted: 30 May 2021 12:59 AM PDT

Pretty annoying bug it seems. Even when I drop stuff to get my weight below the limit, it still say I'm overweight and it won't let me fast travel but it let's me run as if I'm underweight. 7O76

Playing NV for the first time. Decided to try my way up Black Mountain. Dead enemies respawning when loading up previous save... why???

    Posted: 29 May 2021 07:47 PM PDT

I'm playing on Xbox. I have no mods. And yes I'm certain the enemies where I saved were dead before I saved. Why is this happening? Anyway to fix/avoid in the future? Thank you >.<

Did the Fallout universe US have to deal with terrorism like ours did? I'm leaning toward no, and if my guess in that is correct, then it would be highly possible that the twin towers are still standing in NYC, assuming they were built in the first place, but I don't see any logical reason why not.

    Posted: 29 May 2021 07:22 PM PDT

It is logical that the city the Prydwin flew over to get to Boston was NYC, somehow with intact towering buildings, tall like no other, almost scraping against the bottom of the ship. Sure, that could be any number of buildings, like the Empire State, Chrysler tower, or maybe even that windowless tower the government uses to spy on stuff, which would be a pretty tasty target to nuke I'd assume. However that building is pretty much in the middle of all the most iconic NYC stuff, so surely if it was nuked, the entire city should've been leveled. Unless, that nuke happened to be a dud, or the person who was supposed to drop it had a change of heart. Both of which we've seen examples of in fallout. However, New Vegas itself was targeted by an entire swarm of nukes. So many in fact, that they overwhelmed House's defense grid, letting some blow up around the city. If vegas was targeted that heavily, then surely NYC would've been targeted that much, tenfold. Unless Bethesda didn't put their oversight on that detail and nukes were launched in much smaller numbers with much weaker yields. Because in the games Beth directly controlled, 3 and 4, there's plenty of free standing stuff all over the map outside areas where the bombs fell. For example, DC should've been completely leveled, but only the whitehouse was. yet all the surrounding historical buildings only got a few chunks knocked out. That's not even indicative of a nuke. A normal 2k pound bomb could do that if one landed directly on the whitehouse. In Boston, we actually get to see the nuke, and tbh, the destruction shown in that game actually seems to be a bit too much. Mostly when talking about the northern half of the map. Collapsed highway sections, chunked up roads, and even sanctuary looking like a hobo town. Surely the blast wave didn't do that cuz it didn't blow you off your feet before you went into the vault. and it's hard to believe 200 years of sitting would make them look like that because to most manmade structures, 200 years is almost nothing to them.

What was I talking about again?

Oh yeah, finding some way of justifying having the twin towers represented in modern video game media because I love them and the last game that did it was Driver Parallel Lines in 2006, and you could only explore the ground level exterior :c

Sure, the buildings would likely be in a not so flattering state in the Fallout universe, but at least they'd be there at all. Maybe they'd even be one of the first areas/settlements/bases reclaimed in the NYC wasteland. Like what Diamond city is to the residents of the commonwealth before you arrive. Maybe they would've even mostly patched them up or even restored them. It'd also be a great place for the Prydwin to dock if the BoS returns from clearing up Boston's issues. La Guardia airport would be pretty far away from where most of the action would likely be.

Yes, this is a common thing from me. I start talking about something I'm passionate about and can't shut up. All of my ideas gotta go out at once. In fact, I got a lot more for this post, but I know nobody cares like I do so I'm not gonna bother typing out all the tiny details.

Is there away to reset your points in fallout 3?

    Posted: 29 May 2021 11:15 AM PDT

I played fallout 3 thinking that barter was gonna be as useful as it was in new vegas and I never put any points into science thinking it would be as useless as it was in new vegas, turns out barter was absolutely useless and science was very useful but I didn't realise that till I dumped 95 points into barter and barely any into science, is there a way to reset your points back to 0 so I can apply them again?

Dont know what to do ( Far harbor)

    Posted: 29 May 2021 11:16 PM PDT

Basicly, i'm doing best left forgotten. I have 3 objectives left ( recover wind farm kill switch code, uncover the location of nuclear launch key, uncover Dima's secret medical). So i got a quest marker and i followed it. And now i'm on a small island west to the map. When hovering over it, it says "recover wind farm kill switch code". And the quest mark is hovering over ground. And it seems like there is something beneath it but i don't know what to do.

Where to buy Fallout merch in Australia?

    Posted: 30 May 2021 02:33 AM PDT

Hey fellow Vault Dwellers, Settlers, Ghouls etc. etc.

I've been a major Fallout obsessive since Fallout 4 was the first real video game I played all the way back in 2015 (Tobuscus got me excited for it, weirdly enough). Since then I have played FO3 and FONV countless times, FO1 and FO2 once and even tried Atom RPG etc.

But, unfortunately, I live in Australia and don't know where is the best place to buy merchandise like clothing, knick-knacks, office decorations etc.

    Any ideas? Thanks

I cleared out the castle, killed every egg, killed queen, checked underground for clipped enemies, searched the entire perimeter of the castle multiple times, everything. Yet I cannot use the work shop because i supposedly still need to kill enemies in the area.

    Anyone have any ideas?

Where would you like Fallout 5 to take place?

    Posted: 29 May 2021 11:29 PM PDT

I personally would love to see the Tri-State Area between New York, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania as the setpiece for Fallout 5. But im curious to see where you would want the next fallout game to take place?
