    About the CPG massacre

    Posted: 15 Feb 2021 03:53 PM PST

Who is more trustworthy about what really happened? While Nick Valentine says that the Institute synth opened fire on all the representatives to sabotage any possible talk the Institute claims that it was infighting that ended the CPG.

So who should we really trust? Nick Valentine could be misremembering due to his limited storage capacity but we also known that the Institute doesn't have a very peaceful way to interact with the surface (see the University Point massacre and the fact that they plan to exterminate all the Warwick family after they are done with the crop experiment)

Since the laser rifle was a prototype and not fully fielded as the main small arm of the US, how many were produced?

    Posted: 15 Feb 2021 09:27 PM PST

Knowing the laser rifle wasn't fully implemented into the US military as its standard small arm and likely wasn't produced in the millions, why are they do common in the post-war wasteland? From what I understand, the laser rifle was definitely in service with the military but not the standard small arm. It appears it was going through unit trials before the bombs and on the way to getting universally adopted. We can even clearly see the laser rifle is unfinished with exposed wiring and some rough edges. Why is a (presumably) limited produced weapon undergoing trials so prevent in the wasteland? If anything, it would be more prevent overseas since that's where the fighting was.

Maybe I'm wrong and the laser rifle was the standard issue small-arms for the US military?
