Caesar’s armor should NOT be faction-specific Posted: 07 Jan 2021 08:50 AM PST The Scorched Sierra armor and Armor of the 87th tribe, which were added in a later expansion of course, were not faction-specific. It's pretty clear to everyone that you obtained it from nuking NCR/Legion and killing two high-ranking members. They're basically trophies. But for THIS, you killed Caesar for crying out loud. People should not think that you wearing it makes you a legion trooper. They should be thinking "holy shit, the courier we all have been hearing about just killed off Caesar and is wearing his clothes to prove it!" Also, wearing the clothes should have you keep your vilified reputation because the Legion already knows you killed him and quite frankly, it's a nuclear mockery. NCR troopers should fuckin be buying you beer as they see you sporting it. If some mildly damaged Ranger Armor in Honest hearts isn't faction specific, if Riot gear isnt, if Aot87T isn't faction specific (IT HAS LEGION SYMBOLS ALL OVER IT), you know damn well that this shouldn't [link] [comments]

Am I weird for this or is it normal? Posted: 07 Jan 2021 08:47 AM PST I don't know if it's just me, but on my first playthrough before I knew who the companions were I saw them differently. Like, when I first encountered Boone and before I knew he could be recruited he was just another NPC to me. But after my first time getting him I no longer see him as another NPC, I see him as my potential killing machine. [link] [comments]
Hands down the easiest way to New Vegas, prove me wrong. Posted: 07 Jan 2021 12:30 AM PST This one you don't need a stealth boy or any items actually Go to hidden valley, find the path to black mountain, you can outrun the bark 🦂 easy You can also outrun the centaurs and their blob attack, keep to the left and jump over the fence, say hi to Neil. Crouch walk through the little ravine thing with the suitcase on the ground enjoy your 20 pre war money (or not) Head up the mountain side with the big ass boulder and a lot of bear traps (note that Neil can get hit and subsequently DIE from said boulder, lol) Heading over that should put you outside that museum with the mr Handy's from there you can go wherever but for efforts sake let's get to the strip Head to mccarran, on the way you'll almost definitely see ncr fighting fiends, snag an ncr uniform off a corpse or find an outfit in mccarran airport itself. Walk through monorail with disguise Enjoy lvl 1 0 caps strip [link] [comments]
How "fun" is dead money without the monocyte breeder? Posted: 07 Jan 2021 06:30 AM PST Weird question, but I felt like the base game got too easy later on, even on very hard with hardcore mode, so I didn't get the monocyte breeder upgrade, to make the "survival" aspect more interesting. Now I started the dead money DLC and... i'm constantly slowly dying, it's completely different and I have too low a medicine skill to get as much as possible from stimpacks (since I mostly healed with the survival skill and sunset sarsparilla in the main game). Basically, my question is if I should keep going or if the monocyte breeder is a must have for the higher difficulties in dead money... Extra question: if I pick the "them's good eatin'" perk, will it work on the enemies from the DLC? [link] [comments]
Fallout: NV DLC won’t load in-game Posted: 06 Jan 2021 11:34 PM PST So I re-downloaded my digital copy of New Vegas on my Xbox One, and when I started a new game, my previously bought DLC was not there. Whenever I go to "manage game & add-ons" through my games library, it says I have all 7 DLC's installed. Anyone have an answer to this? [link] [comments]
On new Vegas, drops to 90fps feel stuttery Posted: 07 Jan 2021 08:30 AM PST I play at 144hz with nvtf and used Viva new Vegas to install all my mods. When the game drops to 90 in the strip and Gomorrah it feels extremely stuttery. I use the Viva new Vegas load order included in the guide. [link] [comments]
What's the point of Lonesome Road? Posted: 06 Jan 2021 06:46 PM PST While it wasn't bad per se, I don't really see the point of it beyond providing a bit 'more'. Ulysses is a very pretentious guy. Dude likes to drone on and on about this and that. (Bears and Bulls come to mind) He has it in for you over an accident. He acts like you knowingly committed an atrocity when he knows that you obviously didn't. You play the entire game without any prior knowledge of yourself (for good reason) and all of a sudden all of this backstory is thrust upon you, and Ulysses acts as if you were already briefed about this shit when you weren't. I don't even like the backstory. Maybe if the Divide had more significance before the DLC, and more ties indicating your involvement in its destruction beforehand, there would be some intrigue and mystery to figure out what the hell happened and why the trails point to me. Instead I got this cringey Bane knock-off talking down to me last second about something I have absolutely no recollection of, and so there is this massive disconnect. I feel like having this set backstory takes away much of the open-ended role playing that you could do with your own character. It's kinda like a fan-fiction. I chalk it up to my low INT character having amnesia since getting shot in the head. Worse yet, the DLC cant help but make you prove his celestial ass right by forcing you to blow up all these scattered nukes and shit. At one point I couldn't continue unless I literally launched a fucking nuclear missile. Are you shitting me? Yes, Ulysses, I am so ignorant and I don't care about anything, I get it. Wait, you wan't to blow people up now? What sense does that make? You dont really get to challenge him with anything either. The dialogue options are really restrictive and most of them circle around to him being some sort of badass guy who is infallible to your shit logic until the very end of course. I was glad it was over. I am glad he gave up and shut up, but I didn't get any of it and thought it was pretty stupid. Also the marked men seem like a silly concept to me. Why are the only ghouls in the Divide, NCR and LEGION soldiers? Speaking of Legion, how are half the Divide's population Legion spies? The tunnelers also don't live up to Ulysses' hype. They like dark underground areas, they are sensitive to light and like all melee opponents in FNV, can be beaten by standing on a rock. I like the idea of the Tunnelers, but they don't represent this extinction power they are supposedly capable of. Big MT's cazadores seem like a much larger threat to the Mojave. [link] [comments] |
