    Questions about Caesars Legion Questline.

    Posted: 04 Jan 2021 07:26 AM PST

So back when you're doing favors for the NCR outpost southwest of Goodsprings, when I stumbled across the town that the Legion had slaughtered, I decided to murder every Legion troop in the town.

Did I ruin the chance to do any quests for the Legion? I'm at the point where you're supposed to get the platinum chip from benny, and the NCR embassy has asked me to make contact with the Boomers, but I've been off doing side quests for dozens of hours now.

Just beat New Vegas for the first time and I’m confused

    Posted: 03 Jan 2021 11:10 PM PST

So I just beat this game for the first time 10 minutes ago. I didn't know Ceaser died of a tumor? Did I miss dialogue some where? I was expecting to fight him at the end of the Hoover dam battle (I sided with the NCR). So I looked on the internet and I read he died of a tumor which is so weird to me. The whole game you hear about what an awful ruthless guy he is and then he dies off screen from a tumor. How bizarre. At first i chalked it up to fallout being fallout but now that I think about it I wonder if it's supposed to mirror WW2. After the battle of Berlin I think the whole world was waiting for Hitler to be captured then we find out he died in his bunker days before the Allies could get to him. Not even a body was recovered just charred ashes of his remains. I imagine that must of been how the world felt. Obviously this is just a game and I could be completely off here but I think they're similar situations. Both men never had to answer for their crimes against humanity.

First sitting in New Vegas, thought the timing from my radio was pristine

You can get the evil ending by siding with Yes-Man. But think about it, the strongest armies GETTING DEFEATED BY A MAILMAN. Please, just dont shoot any couriers next time. Please.

Why does Christine want to kill Elijah so bad?

    Posted: 04 Jan 2021 05:38 AM PST

If you ask her toward the end of Dead Money why she is at the Sierra Madre, she says that she has been chasing Elijah down all across Nevada because he broke up her relationship with Veronica.

Isn't that a bit much, or did I miss something?

Why can't Christine just let the crazy old man get himself killed in his lust for power and track down Veronica instead? It's not like Elijah is in any place to stop them being together anymore.

I feel like out of all the injustices and atrocities committed out there in the wastes, a broken relationship is lower down on the tier list enough that her motivation to kill him so bad by chasing him through all of his crazy gallivants seems a little bit silly.

    Unable to do ncr run

    Posted: 04 Jan 2021 08:22 AM PST

Hi, this is my first post on reddit so please let me know if I'm missing some tags. I am idolized by every group (except legion: wild child and BoS: liked). But after saving Kimball, Moore is not giving me the option to talk to general Oliver. She keeps repeating is the President safe? I only have to the option to say no. But he has left safely in his vertibird and Ranger grant has also thanked me. Please note, I have completed all quests of yes man except El Dorado substation. Is the the reason? Is there any console command to start the ncr final quest? Thanks in advance...

    help with the console

    Posted: 04 Jan 2021 02:03 AM PST

hello all! ive been getting deep into fallout recently but i came into a problem. any attempts to use the "setstage" commands or the like appears to completely not work, or if it does i cant tell at all! most of this was water under the bridge untill i realized i had messed up in a way i didnt intend, when doing the render unto cesar quest, i had blown up the base, having completely missed mr house in the base, and only realizing later what i had done after seeing the quest through on a different character. the problem is two fold, since as i see it there are two ways to go the way i would have rather gone either reloading an old save (the only one i could having been 50 hours back), and using commands to catch that character up to my most recent one, or using the console to undo that quest in such a way i could redo it properly, on my more recent character. i would prefer to do the latter since it would generaly would feel more honest to me. if anyone knows how to do either of those or needs more clarification please let me know!

    For Auld Lang Syne

    Posted: 04 Jan 2021 02:21 AM PST

I'm playing through NV as an NCR hating, ex enclave and I've reached the point in Auld Lang Syne at which I need to decide whether I should tell the remnants to defend the dam and side with yes man, or tell them to attack the dam and ultimately side with the legion. Since my character is shit at speech, if I end up telling the remnants to defend the damn (only for me to take it later) I won't be able to talk down Moreno, which is a damn shame since my character relates to him most. I've created this to decide because I'm lazy and indecisive, cheers lads

Will I still be able to meet President Kimball if I am going for the Wildcard ending but the NCR hates my guts?

    Posted: 03 Jan 2021 03:50 PM PST

So I helped this Ceasar dude some bit so that he lets me get into the bunker and because he caught my archnemesis for me. Only to learn that the NCR doesn't like it. I probably should have listened to the NCR lady telling me that I only had 3 days left to finish unfinished business or something, but I digress.

Anyway NCR hates my guts now and I couldn't do that Wildcard "protect the president Kimball" quest thing. Will I not be able to meet president Kimball this playthrough? Or is there a way to get to him with a similar amnesty that Ceaser grants?
