Did any Enclave Members surrender and so what happened to them?

After the Enclave-Brotherhood of Steel War in the Capital Wasteland did any Enclave members surrender in hope of surviving or were they killed off when captured?

How did the Fiends get Plasma rifles?

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 05:42 AM PST

Usually in Outer Vegas, you'll find roaming gangs of Fiends attacking NCR Troops with Laser RCW's and Plasma Guns. Their base of operations is a nearby vault that they stormed, but Vault armouries usually stock 10mm weapons.

They tried to raid REPCONN, but where all killed via the security bots there, and even those corpses have plasma guns on them. Plasma is pretty high end weapons tech, but how did they actually get it?

why is original fallout`s urban architecture so baroque and brutalist?

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 11:49 AM PST

in original fallout cities like boneyard, or the masters citadel, or really an heavily urbanized area you see cast iron human icons reminiscent of soviet or national socialist brutalist busts. why is there architecture like this in America when the 2070s were supposed to represent hyper-americana and traditional, but warped American values?

Are there any continually inhabited vaults?

    Posted: 12 Jan 2021 12:25 AM PST

All the ones you actually see in the games were opened due to equipment failure, Enclave meddling, vault dwellers leaving, etc., but are any still operating according to the lore?

    Era of Musical Stagnation?

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 02:45 PM PST

One of the weird things about Fallout I've only started thinking about is how apparently there was apparently no music written between the 1950s to 2077. I mean, I know the gimmick is that it's the 50s but post apocalyptic with laser guns, but it would've been cool to hear 50s songs composed by Bethesda or Obsidian, with unique spins on them to reflect an extra 123 years of evolution.

Is the Mysterious Stranger's presence in Fallout 76 canon?

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 10:36 PM PST

Because that might mean a few things. That either there's a Mysterious Stranger guild/legacy that passes down, or that it's just some guy who never dies.

Due to the fact that the Mysterious Stranger only shows up in VATS, he also might be one of the only beings who can tell when someone is using VATS.

Omniscient immortal human, or paracausal entity.

How did China manage to destroy America so completely?

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 10:17 PM PST

For the life of me I can't seem to figure out how China was even capable of nuking the states to the degree that we see.

Their stealth subs, the Yangtze class were utter garbage when it comes to payload delivery, only 8 missile tubes each only capable of carrying a single warhead (the 'sea monster' quest in fallout 4). That is minuscule of what IRL subs can carry. Not to mention that there was a shift from large yield warheads to smaller ones

Megaton-class thermonuclear weapons had largely been retired by the major nuclear powers in favor of much smaller-yield warheads by the time of the Great War. An average strategic warhead in 2077 had a yield of about 200-750 kilotons

In the Operation Anchorage DLC of fallout 3 we can see some Chinese bombers fly over that look like futuristic P-38s. How on earth did these fly from China to any us territory and deliver a payload of any value?

I can't find any specifics on Chinese ICBMs anywhere but granted fallout 3 and 4s different missile launchers, the accuracy of their guidance systems, and the quality of terminals in most of the games I can't say that they can be much better than what we had in the 80s. Even with all the advances in missile tech or warhead development they still need to hit the target. If each warhead is delivering 1/10th the yield that IRL ones do, and IRL missiles can carrier a dozen warheads then each missile would need 120 warheads on it simply to match the destructive power of our missiles add to that they are less accurate.

    How are female-looking synths created?

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 07:44 AM PST

If you watch the Synth production in the robotics lab you'll notice that every single Gen 3 Synth that is being produced there is a bald man, so where did all of the ones that look like Women come from?

Is Caesar exclusively gay? (dumb question I know.)

    Posted: 11 Jan 2021 08:01 AM PST

I've never done a legion play through and I honestly don't want to. I also know this seems like such a dumb question, but I couldn't find anything on it.

I mean it makes a ton of sense for that to be the case.

    • The guy has an army known for being gay.
    • He has a society that hates women beyond sense. (Don't get me started.)
    • Last, but not least, he has no blood heirs despite having … "access" … to every woman for hundreds of miles.

I know he could be straight and infertile, but he'd likely be much more baby crazy if that was the case. He seems like the type of narcissistic person to think that he'd eventually rape the right person to give him an heir. Heck, he'd probably be more like "Immortan Joe" if he was exclusively straight. Everything about him just screams narcissistic androphile to me. Jack Donovan in the post-apocalypse.

I know that kind of thing doesn't really matter in terms of the narrative. I just think it would add an interesting dimension to the character. I often wonder what kinds of conversations Arcade and Caesar would have and I'm sure Arcade would bring this up eventually. It also adds a certain dark mirror element to their relationship.

If you have any evidence one way or another I'd greatly appreciate it. Word of God, a quote I missed, something.

    Thanks in advance.
