| The FEV project underneath Hoover dam Posted: 13 Dec 2020 11:09 AM PST The fallout bible says that when the U.S. government weaponized the new plague and turned it into the FEV, the lab being used to test the FEV was under hoover dam. So, what is with the immense lack of super mutants in the area? If there was a lab right there, it seems as though there would be a much higher post war super mutant population, instead of two small settlements, Jacobstown and Utobitha. Maybe super mutants can't survive in really hot areas such as the Mojave, and that's why they gather in higher up locations that are cooler, like jacobstown and black mountain? [link] [comments] |

| Posted: 13 Dec 2020 11:38 PM PST After completing the quest "The Secret of Cabot House" recently in my replaying of fallout 4, If you side with Jack Cabot he mentions that his father always believed there to be an Alien city under the Mojave desert. Do we know anything about this in the lore? Could this possibly be why there is Zetan aliens in fallout new Vegas when wild wasteland is enabled? Is this referenced anywhere else? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 13 Dec 2020 06:41 PM PST I've always wondered what extent of combat experience that the male Sole Survivor would have had prior to his discharge from the abovementioned Division. To me - when joining the Brotherhood faction - it seemed that the SS was fast-tracked to Sentinel extraordinarily quickly, even with the amount of effort/sacrifice that was put in during the game. It always made me wonder if the Pentagon archives listed him as being exceptional and therefore should be treated accordingly... Am thinking that the timeframe between the Anchorage Reclamation and the day the bombs fell being a little to tight in timeframe, but from the response that you get when joining the BoS has me thinking that's either the case, or that 'Nate' has been involved in something just as big. I've tried with online searches but couldn't find anything detailed outside of supposition and/or fanfic, so wondering if I've missed something crucial in context regarding his Battalion/unit's actions that someone here could point out for me?
