| Posted: 04 Dec 2020 11:02 PM PST Its one in the morning and I'm here to tell you that Sarah Lyons deserved better than an off screen death. Sarah was my favorite character from FO3. Arthur Maxson feels like a mary sue to me. I very much subscribe to the idea that Maxson executed a coup on the Elder. I also think much of the accomplishments Maxson touts are propaganda in a major way. I'd like to think that Sarah survived, and fled west with loyal members of Lyons' Pride. Maybe to Chicago where she could retake the Midwestern Chapter of the Brotherhood. I just needed to rant somewhere. Thanks [link] [comments] |

Posted: 04 Dec 2020 03:33 PM PST Even being a relatively small vault compared to others, how could such a project be completed within walking distance of a residential area? Unless SH was built after the vault, the amount of excavation and heavy equipment would have basically destroyed the surrounding area. [link] [comments] |

I know there's some "lore" on China from a game that got scrapped but any mentions of those soldiers? The US did horrible things to their prisoners as we find out and their civilians as aswell, can't imagine what the Chinese would do. [link] [comments] |

| Some thoughts about that Zetan in Fo4 Posted: 04 Dec 2020 07:59 AM PST Hello my fellow lore nerds. So today I want to ask a question regarding the Zetans or Aliens. I completed the game doing the Institute playthrough but I ponder over why the Institute does not capture the lone Zetan in the cave (crashed landed in his saucer) and bring him back into the Institute for analysis and perhaps testing? Not only the Zetan himself but also his ship must be brought back to the Institute, it's ridiculous how the Alien's ship is sitting around in the Commonwealth like that. That Xetan brings with him sophisticated technology that Humans could learn and use. I mean, if they can put a couple of synthetic Gorillas in a glass prison, why not this Zetan who is pretty much alive? As Director of the Institute, I should be able to capture this Zetan and have him teleported back to the Institute for research. I should also be able to take that Zetan's ship and remove it from the Commonwealth. I personally wouldn't want that sophisticated technology to be salvaged by some raiders. The presence of Zetans in the Commonwealth is quite interesting and I feel that the Institute should have jumped on that opportunity to capture that lone Zetan and his spaceship before anyone else saw it sitting around up there. Offtopic: I love the Zetans and I am glad they exist in FO4. I love them so much that I installed a mod from Nexus where there are spawnable Zetan camps all over the Commonwealth. I feel that there should have been more Zetans in the game not just that dying one in the cave. [link] [comments] |

Posted: 04 Dec 2020 07:50 PM PST My understanding of the sino-americsn war is basically that the Americans were very good at like front line tech, so robots, FEV, and power armor, but weren't as good as stealth whereas the Chinese specialized in stealth and sabotage (they developed stealth suits and had extensive spy rings in the us during the war). So, if china had such an extensive intelligence apparatus in the usa, why weren't they also able to develop power armor? There are stories of Chinese soldiers dropping everything and fleeing at the site of a T-51, so clearly there was an impetus on the part of the Chinese government to develop and produce it. It was obviously a closely guarded secret of the US military but given how many suits are lying about the post war us is it really inconceivable they couldn't get their hands on at least the plans for like a T-45? So, why don't we see Chinese power armor? [link] [comments] |
| Posted: 04 Dec 2020 05:35 PM PST The Shi had power armor, combat armor, gauss weapons, laser weapons, miniguns, LSWs, they basically had every good weapon and armor in Fallouts world. So here's my question: why were they waiting for some outsider, like the Chosen One, to solve their problem with the Hubologists? The Hubologists in San Fran had FN FAL's and Pancor Jackhammers with combat armor, the Shi could've easily wiped them all out long ago. So why didn't they? [link] [comments] |
