Was it ever mentioned why the Institute was after the Deep Range Transmitter at ArcJet Systems? Posted: 21 Sep 2020 08:01 AM PDT I couldn't find anything in-game or on the Fallout wiki indicating why they were after it in the first place. Anyone have a lead on this? [link] [comments] |
I’m confused by West Virginia. Posted: 21 Sep 2020 08:21 PM PDT I'm a bit confused by the world of 76. If the bombs dropped nearby, shouldn't the map still be mostly dead after only 25 years? If West Virginia was lucky and not hit much, why are the buildings so damaged and creatures so mutated after only 25 years? Most buildings are just as damaged as buildings from 200 years later yet only after 25 years. And this would be explainable by the bombs but a lot of the map seems to be very nature heavy, the trees are full, the grass is green. I might just be missing something and look like an idiot but hey, that's why I'm asking. [link] [comments] |
How damaging/destructive is a mini nuke actually? Posted: 22 Sep 2020 03:07 AM PDT I'm not sure if there's any information about mini nukes but I'm wondering what is their true potential of damage. Is the damage and explosion radius we see in the game is an accurate example or is it limited due to gameplay/balancing factors? What about their radioactivity, do they cause deadly radiation in the area they effect? And last but not least, I don't think there's an answer for this one but to what scale do they affect objects? Like is shooting a mini nuke to a big house or even building is enough to completely destroy it? Or does it just deal significant damage to it but not enough to destroy it? [link] [comments] |
Posted: 22 Sep 2020 01:34 AM PDT Both the commonwealth and the capitol wasteland are radioactive hellscapes where purified water only exists in small, occasional packages. None of the water anywhere is clean enough to drink. How come this was a bigger issue in fallout 3 than fallout 4? I assume both regions experience rainfall just as in 4. [link] [comments] |
Do long periods of extreme radiation cause Ghouls to go feral? Posted: 21 Sep 2020 07:41 PM PDT I remember in Searchlight there were a lot of ferals and only one regular Ghoul. It makes me feel like constant harsh radiation causes Ghouls to go feral quicker or something. I have no proof for this, and I was wondering what everyone else thought or if there is prior lore explanations? [link] [comments] |
