- The Real-World universe and Fallout universe never experienced a divergence - the Fallout realm is completely separate from reality and we can use astronomy to prove it.

Posted: 23 Sep 2020 10:34 PM PDT So i have a bunch of Loré questions, 1, Why is the American Flag different? 2, What animals were used to make Deathclaws? 3, Why are all Super Mutants physicly Mono Gendered? 4, How long does it take for someone to become a Ghoul? 5, Is The Divergence a fan term or a official term? 6, Why did the Brotherhood of Steel allow outsiders to Join their organization in Fallout 76? 7, How did Maxson not get de-moted as Elder in Fallout 4 despite haveing broken the chain that binds? Is there a reason the Brotherhood of Steel didn't use Veritibirds until 2277? (During Broken Steel) Posted: 23 Sep 2020 05:49 AM PDT In Fallout 2, one of the quests is Get the vertibird plans for the Brotherhood of Steel and yet, the BoS doesn't even use Vertibirds until 2277 (Lyons' Chapter, at least). I understand the Mojave Chapter not wanting to use them, because they want to remain hidden and Hidden valley wouldn't be an ideal place to store large flying Vehicles, but couldn't the BoS build their own fleet of Vertibirds and give some to Lyons' Chapter so they could get to DC quicker rather than walking there? (I assume he walked since Owyn and his Chapter left for DC in 2254 and arrived in 2255.) [link] [comments] |
What part did religion play in America pre war)? Posted: 23 Sep 2020 08:59 PM PDT We see plenty of churches and cathedrals in various games, but little mention in lore outside of general reference(like in Honest Hearts). Compared to the 50's-60's, what part does religion play in pre war USA? [link] [comments] |
Is XO-1 Develped Pre-war Or post war? Posted: 23 Sep 2020 04:09 PM PDT We see the Quantum XO-1 In nuka-world, I highly doubt that A nuka-cola-loving-enclave-remnant would take the time and resources to Paint & Modify A full suit O' XO-1. If I remember Correctly, the suit was develped by the - U.S Military, ( now the Enclave ) then Utilized by the Enclave. I'm pretty sure Very few Pre-war XO-1's were made. I'd say I dunno like 7 per Region? Power armor was still in it's baby stages at the time. Not really mass produced. The Enclave does make PA. [link] [comments] |
Did protectrons just kill everyone before the war? Or did they actually protect people Posted: 23 Sep 2020 12:27 PM PDT |
Posted: 23 Sep 2020 10:20 PM PDT Is the Battle on the moon that we see on the mural in fallout 4,A canonical thing? [link] [comments] |

Posted: 23 Sep 2020 09:38 AM PDT I understand that the title of this post may have some readers on edge, but allow me to present some observational evidence to this claim. Here is a screenshot demonstrating the date and time on my pip-boy as November 9th, 2287 at 4:27 AM in Fallout 4. The location was right on top of the elevator down to Vault 111. Looking at the sky, I faced directly east with a slight off-set to eliminate the branches of the nearby trees in the picture. The only object in the sky that's clearly visible is the moon which appears to be in in the waning crescent phase. There are some incredibly important things to note in the sky: 1.) There's no planets to be found anywhere. Using a free astronomy software called Stellarium, I projected the current positions of all the astronomical objects into the sky to the date and time in my pip-boy screenshot. This is what the sky would look like in Boston on that date. Notice we have some immediate discrepancies between the two pictures: 1.) In real life, stars range in colors from red (cool) to yellow (lukewarm) to white (hot) to electric blue (incredibly hot) on stellar temperature scales. If you zoom into my Stellarium projection, there are clearly stars with these colors and they are not all white. 2.) We can clearly see a planet, Venus, dead center in the Stellarium projection picture. (In addition to another very famous visible giant red-giant star, Arcturus) 3.) The moon is nowhere to be found in the eastern direction. 4.) There are visible galaxies (they're just outside of what's cropped in the picture, forgive me on that). Given that we can't ever see planets in the sky in the Fallout universe when we should be able to, we can make the conclusion that the other planets simply don't exist in Fallout's version of the solar system, regardless of what we're told in-game. On top of that, take a look at the following picture and notice how over the course of the night, stars make a round-trip around the pole star, Polaris. There is no pole star in the Fallout universe and stars remain static in their position throughout the entire night. It's only the moon and sun that move. This gives the impression that the Fallout realm is geocentric with the moon and sun revolving around the Earth. Furthermore, because of the lack of colored stars, this tells us some information about what kind of galaxy the Fallout Earth is located in. It certainly isn't the Milky Way, because the Milky Way's structure allows for new star formation resulting in the massive O-class and B-class blue stars we can see in astronomy pictures. I claim that, instead of the Milky Way, the Fallout Earth resides in something akin to an elliptical galaxy similar to IC 2006 or other dwarf elliptical galaxies. On top of that, because other galaxies aren't visible, it could potentially be the only galaxy in the entire Fallout universe. In conclusion, even if the events of the Fallout universe roughly mirrored the real world up until the 1950's, there was no divergence. The Fallout universe is, at best, a universe parallel to our own, rather than one based in ours. [link] [comments] |
Is wasteland considered cannon? Posted: 23 Sep 2020 01:10 PM PDT Just wondering if games such as wasteland one and two were considered canon? [link] [comments] |
