Where exactly does it refer to the location as the “Big Mountain Research and Development Center”?

    Posted: 25 Aug 2020 10:13 PM PDT

I know the pre-War company was called "Big MT", and that the post-war name of the location was "The Big Empty". But I couldn't find an in-game reference to the location being referred to as the name listed above. Since it would probably make more sense to be called the "Big MT Research and Development Center". I did find an instance as it being referred to as "Big MT Research Facility" on a terminal in Lonesome Road.

How extreme is Nuclear Radiation's mutagenic shown to be?

    Posted: 25 Aug 2020 07:48 PM PDT

Edit - gah I left out a word in title somehow, I was asking about radiation mutagenic "properties"

In Fallout 76 we have Wendigos which is Ghoullification mixed with a bit of cannibalism to create a unique type of Ghoul spinoff that is much more of a "Hunter" whereas regular Feral Ghouls tend to lurk wherever they have gone feral, with no real drive other than territorial instinct to attack anything that comes near.

However, further than that, we have the Wendigo Collossi, which are much larger mutations of a Wendigo, now sporting extremely long legs, some kind of "scream sac" and three heads! This change was made due to a sudden dosage of radiation with a direct hit from a nuke (usually surviving the initial blast due to their subterranean lifestyles)

It's mostly the sudden sprouting of two additional heads that's throwing me off haha

I know radiated creatures in Fallout have become much larger and deadlier after the war, but this extreme of a mutation is something I feel is usually only seen in FEV infected subjects.

Well, aside from the lovable Brahmin haha

But the difference there is I was led to believe that Brahmin were normal cows until radiation gave them the two headed trait as a birth defect, meaning that all brahmin have 2 heads since birth, they don't gain another during the life cycle

However the wendigo is in effect just a very aggressive ghoul that spawns these heads, or maybe the radiation heat fuses multiple wendigos together? I'm actually not quite sure on that

Anyway I thought I would ask if any other forms of extreme mutations caused solely by radiation exist and how unique the wendigo Collosus is for its metamorphosis

How did the liberators end up in Virginia?

    Posted: 25 Aug 2020 05:54 PM PDT

In America, for that matter. I know they were sent there to overwhelm the troops at Anchorage and other key battle points in the Great War, but how did they end up all the way on the east side of America?

What style are the buildings in early Fallouts? What are they made of?

    Posted: 25 Aug 2020 12:19 PM PDT

I mean specifically FO1 and FO2. It seems that a lot of settlements (especially the more well-off ones) build those... weird houses? Some of them, like in the richest part of Vault City, are really alien looking with the shape and dome on the tope and all. And they're made of... Well exactly? What are they made of?

They kinda remind me of primitive housing made from clay which would make a certain kind of sense but their style is really weird and kinda unsettling to me. And it seems that they make up the majority of architecture in "rich" cities, so the primitivity aspect doesn't really work I guess?
