Fallout 4: how many people know of the Institute's plan to repair and take control of a Giant Liberty Prime Sized Mr Handy?

This isn't a meme, joke or anything like that; this is canon from what I can tell.

Its not much, but there is a line in X6's dialogue that shows up when you travel to the General Atomics Galleria with him as a companion that states and indicates that the Institute set up a project in order to commandeer and repair the Giant Mr Handy Statue, them thinking it was a genuine giant robot, and to take control of it. They called off the plan once their teams that were dispatched to actually repair the "robot" found out it was just a giant statue.

This naturally raises a lot of questions ranging from how badly they bungled recon with this since they only found out it was a statue when they went to actually "fix" it, who the hell thought this was a good idea, and what the hell was the Institute going to do with a Giant Mr Handy?

I just thought it was a hilarious bit of lore, but not many people I've talked to about this know of this little funfact. How many people have heard of this?

Why are there no rad birds?

    Posted: 21 Jun 2020 05:27 AM PDT

There is a thing in Fallout 4 that kinda bothers me.. (FO4 is the only fallout game I have ever played, so forgive me if I am forgetting any lore) If the world of fallout can have irradiated roaches, blood bugs, bloat flies, rad mantis, mole rats and hounds.. why are there no "rad" birds? Why are the birds we see in the skies of fallout 4 just normal crows?

The population of the NCR at the time of F:NV

    Posted: 21 Jun 2020 07:25 PM PDT

I heard on this sub that during the events of fallout 2 the NCR had a population of 700,000. I was wondering if there is any canon population data after the NCR's annexations and population growth.

Railroad Stealth Boys vs Normal Stealth Boys?

    Posted: 21 Jun 2020 04:13 PM PDT

At a certain point you are given stealth boys by the Railroad and are uniquely named "Railroad Stealth Boy". Is there any reason that they are different than other Stealth Boys found around the Commonwealth? Do they make their own?

USA had troops in China before the bombs dropped?

    Posted: 21 Jun 2020 01:57 PM PDT

I've heard about some kind of like small scale invasion of power armored soldiers being sent to cause Chaos in China before the nukes. Did this happen and also did they make it home before the bombs?

Why doesn't Danse question it when the player character says they have a "military background"?

    Posted: 21 Jun 2020 08:00 AM PDT

If you tell Danse "I'm from a military background" when first joining the Brotherhood in Fo4, he accepts it with zero followup questions or suspicion, does anyone have any idea what military he thinks you're from?

The only thing I could think is maybe the NCR, but are there really that many people travelling the entire length of the post-apocalyptic US?

Hey didn’t the institute use liberty prime as their defense system?

    Posted: 21 Jun 2020 09:22 PM PDT

They could have used him for so many more things like destroying raiders or destroying some other dangers?

What happened to other farm animals (like pigs) post-War?

    Posted: 21 Jun 2020 06:54 AM PDT

We know cows are still around since the first game (mutated into the Brahmins) and in both Fallout 76 and in 4's Far Harbor DLC we also discover there's rad chickens around too.

But what happened to other farm animals like pigs, horses, etc. ? We know from Pre-War canned foods like Pork and Beans that pig farms were a thing, but what happened to them?

How do different types of weapons compare?

    Posted: 21 Jun 2020 12:46 PM PDT

I'm talking ballistic vs energy vs plasma, etc. Are certain types just generally far superior than others for the vast majority of things? Is it highly variable? What are the advantages of each type?
