What's the deal with Mr New Vegas?

    Posted: 02 May 2020 01:17 PM PDT

He surely couldn't have been programmed before the war because he gets news updates the second they happen. That means he must be an A.I right? Anything you know would help thanks.

What is the fallout 76 protagonist referred to as?

    Posted: 02 May 2020 02:07 PM PDT

In previous fallout titles the main protagonist is given a nickname such as the lone wanderer or the sole survivor by fans in order to differentiate them.Is there such a nickname given to the protagonist of FO76 if so what is it?

What is the lore surrounding the brain scan machine and brainscanning for synths in fo4?

    Posted: 03 May 2020 01:43 AM PDT

I've searched for a while but I can't find out any lore about it. ie; what sort of machine is it. I guess it's a non-invasive cat-scan sort of thing since it was part of Nick's pstd treatments. Since people run into their synth in the wild, I would presume the scan already took place, then I guess it's a device that can be done to people sneakily like a tiny little hand-device... that sounds wild. I have to admit... I feel like I'm missing something that may be explained in game. Thanks in advance!

What Vault does Samuel come from?

    Posted: 02 May 2020 12:24 PM PDT

I found Samuel at Foundation and he has Vaultec clothes and he says he comes from a Vault, but the closest one that opened is Gary's Vault and he doesn't have a Pipboy.

Are there any books or audio books on fallout lore out there?

Why is there so much ammo in pre-war filing cabinets?

    Posted: 02 May 2020 10:48 PM PDT

I'm playing through New Vegas, and even though I don't have the Scrounger perk, I'm finding a lot of ammo in many filing cabinets. Why would they have so much ammo in that specific part of the workplace?

    Fallout 76 goat skulls

    Posted: 02 May 2020 06:50 PM PDT

So there are these goat skulls in 76, especially in mothman cult totems that seem to be from goat--like animals but larger and with long horns. Does that mean that there are mutant goats? It's unlikely they're extinct if their intact skulls are that common, plus it makes sense we don't see all the types of animals that are there in games since otherwise there's way too many predators with no prey an to the developers there's less a reason to code creatures that aren't meant to be fought. I'm always interested in new lore creatures.

If the nukes acted like an EMP, why didn't robots, terminals, or other electronics shut down?

    Posted: 02 May 2020 08:54 PM PDT

So the nukes caused an electrical pulse that shut down all aircraft and ground vehicles. Why didn't any other electronics shut down as well? Was it due to the power source?

Is the Enclave aware of Vault 79 and its contents?

    Posted: 02 May 2020 05:36 PM PDT

    SPOILERS FOR WASTELANDERS BELOW

In Wastelanders it is revealed that somehow Vault-Tec was authorized to take the Federal Reserve of gold and place it under their protection in Vault 79 under the protection of the Secret Service. Considering that the Enclave had a big hand in the Vault Program, were made of the American Elite, and commanded the Secret Service to a degree, I wonder if there is any reference to the Enclave being aware of the project at all.

[FO4] Actually why does the Bobov brothers in Fallout 4 have russian accents?

    Posted: 02 May 2020 04:11 PM PDT

This is something I just realized, how likely is it that accents like that actually would survive for so long? Wouldn't it make more sense for them to adopt a more post american accent. From what I understand accents are created by people you interact with and I honestly can't see that many russions around.

    Do you have any ideas?

Edit: I want to apologize because of how I worded this originally. I did not mean it as a protest against Diversity etc. I was asking from a purely lore point of view. The meaning was that in the Fallout world people have been developing languages for 200 years. Even if families have dialects, the harsh world would lead to some losing parents etc to keep that up. I was wondering how the Bobov brothers family could manage to maintain a distinct dialect for 200 years and everyone else ingame with a dialect excluding Ghouls of course.

Am I understanding the Canon of the New Plague correctly?

    Posted: 02 May 2020 06:22 PM PDT

In Canon, the new plague existed and decimated the population, spurring research into the pan immunity project, which led to the FEV. Is all that correct?

Everything about the new plague being a project of the government is out, right? So is there any Canon history on the origins of the plague
