Best way to kill Caesar: plant a comically large amount of C4 outside his tent; tell Boone to wait and run into his tent and take a few potshots with the sequioa-they'll think you're a lone desperate NCR assassin. Run away, and when they chase you blow them all to kingdom come. Polish off survivors.

    Basic mods setup in 2020

    Posted: 01 Feb 2020 06:15 AM PST

Hello, I just finished my last exam and was hoping to start a new modded playthrough before the next semester. Could you please help me look for the right mods and how to install them? I have no idea how much has changed in the past 2 years and am afraid I would spend most of that time figuring it out.

Just some quick graphical oriented setup is what I am hoping for. Character mods, NMC, ojo bueno, some ENB, weapons of new millenia and overhauls like Project Nevada or similar if those no longer work.

Thank you for any and all help

    [Spoilers] Preparing for Honest Hearts

    Posted: 01 Feb 2020 01:42 AM PST

    Hey guys,

I recently finished Dead Money DLC, and thoroughly looted and plundered the place (gold bars, all holodisks for the dispenser, unique weapons, armor, dean's stashes, dead man's hand etc.)

Also, I went in there with ~80 skills, and more importantly, with 100 lockpick because there is a distinct lack of lockpick skill books at the Sierra Madre, and a few 'very hard' locks. The skill preparation (80 science) also helped me with Christine, so she wouldn't try to kill me at the end of the DLC because I forced her into a box.

Anyway, I can actually carry stuff into the Honest Hearts DLC location, but no returning home until it is finished. I think my skills are fine, but what would you recommend for gear? Should I do any relevant quests before going in, similar to Veronica's quests before Dead Money?

Obviously I will stay there for a while because of this condition I have (lmao) in RPG games that makes me want to loot and complete everything in the area before I leave.

How would you prepare yourself in this case? Thanks.

Wha feeling do the newer Fallout games give you?

    Posted: 01 Feb 2020 03:46 AM PST

The newer Falllout games always made me feel different about each game.

Fallout 3: You feel alone, in a barren concrete wasteland that is Washington DC.

Fallout NV: You're in the sunny Mojave and its a blast. The sun is blasting and you roam around the wasteland with some of the best factions from any fallout game. Then you play some games in the casino.

Fallout 4: You feel that the game has evolved, it feels refined. Its atmospheric, but there are just some essential things missing but you cant quite tell so you enjoy it anyway.

Fallout 76: You're in sunny West Virginia, theres one of the best songs ever playing on the radio. I played the Beta and on launch day and the day after that, but never encountered much bugs except that I coudent turn off my mic so I had to mute it manually (on my headset).

Best buyable pistol, melee, shotgun, rifle, energy weapons, pistol and rifle.

I have "acquired" a large sum of money recently, and want to fuck shit up. Also, I can also accept easily obtainable uniques. My current load out is.,.

    Light in darkness

    Riot shotgun

    Old glory

    Laer

That laser gun you get at beginning of old world blues.

Anything better than these, dps or damage per shot, just no auto.

    Modding help

    Posted: 31 Jan 2020 11:26 PM PST

I need some help with modding my game on my computer. I thought I had it figured out, but I somehow managed to fuck it up. I downloaded the mod manager and some mods, and when I tried to pull up my pipboy it wasn't visible. I then deleted that save and started a new one without the pipboy mod I had, and the exact same problem happened. Also, for some reason, even though I clicked the link that told me it was the current version and I even installed on the manager, Script Extender wasn't working.

When modding Fallout NV, how do you get an NPC's dialogue option to teleport you to a predetermined location?

When modding Fallout NV, how do you get an NPC's dialogue option to teleport you to a predetermined location?

I want a custom companion I'm making to be able to teleport you to The Strip, Goodsprings, and a custom location detached from the gameworld and filled with custom content.

Having my beef and eating it, too?

    Posted: 31 Jan 2020 09:28 PM PST

I'm doing Beyond the Beef a little different and exploring the dialogue (as well as discovering the Pheeble Will quest for the first time), and found out I could let the kid go from the freezer and swap him for someone else.

Can I still catch Mortimer out at the banquet after trading him for the rich kid hermit? I've read the wiki entries and don't see the option, but... there's none of the (usually) detailed notes that explain when something isn't a dead end or can't continue down <pathA> or <pathB> if you choose <QuestOption4>, which in this case is, "swap the beef."

Did I hit a dead end, and have to deliver the new beef?
