Who is cuter? Dr.Borous or Dr.Klein?

    Posted: 04 Nov 2019 03:25 AM PST

This has been an unsolved question given by the stimpak wasting stealth suit,Who is cuter tho? I have come to a conclusion that Dr.Klein is cuter and here's why 1.His sexy voice is very seducing 2.Dr.Borous is addicted to animals,so he has no interest on stealth suits and humans 3.Dr.Borous is not sexy 4.Klein is very sexy with them wrinkles and his big lips If you think this opinion is invalid ,then tell me your opinions

I just wanna talk about why Dead Money is my favorite DLC

    Posted: 03 Nov 2019 06:31 PM PST

It's just so great in every way, and I think people don't realize that. It's everything a DLC should be. It adds extra items, introduces new characters, adds more story, and all while not being needed to understand the story in the base game.

I think it's safe to say most people don't base their NV build around stealth, which is what makes Dead Money so good imo. You start off with basically nothing, facing powerful enemies, and you can't even attack the holograms, meaning sneaking around is pretty much the only option.

My only problem with it is that you can't bring any of the companies back to the Mojave with you. I know, I know, "Let go", but just think of how sweet and adorable it would be to reunite Veronica and Christine? How happy Dog/God would be to start a new life in Jacobs town after becoming one? It would just be a nice, heart warming moment in a game that shows off the worst in humanity.

MCM doesn't appear in the pause menu?

    Posted: 04 Nov 2019 09:12 AM PST

I'm using Mod Organiser 2 to install mods. I have installed NVSE (since the MCM installation registers it) and after that a simple mod for that uses mcm. I load in the game, pause the game and there is nothing there. Any other mod that isn't using mcm works fine btw. Has anyone experienced this?

EDIT: Launching via NVSE through MO2 displays the message that MCM is installed and some mods that use it work, but it still doesn't appear in the pause menu.

Similarities to The Stand and The Dark Tower: The Gunslinger.

    Posted: 04 Nov 2019 08:43 AM PST

So The Stand and The Gunslinger are both books by Stephen King. I've noticed some similarities from both books in the game.

I'll discuss The Stand first because of the the number of coincedences. In the book an engineered super bug wipes out 99 percent of humanity. The survivors in america break up into two groups one good one evil. The evil group is located in Las Vegas. Led by a man named Randall Flagg whos a supernatural demon of some kind. In it he's set himself as first citizen(Princeps civitatis) or another name for the roman emperors. All drugs are outlawed much like Caesars Legion. Anyone breaking that rule is crucified along with anyone who falls out of line. At the end he tries to conjure a magic orb to stop himself from being blown up by a nuke. But it turns into a floating hand of God which sets off the nuke. General Oliver has a line at one of the endings "what was that light show its like you called down the thumb of god" paraphrasing there. Also the capital of Caesars Legion currently is Flagstaff (Randal Flag).

Now the Gunslinger the only similarity I can see is the main character Roland(the gunslinger) is chasing the antagonist known as the man in black across a post apocalyptic desert. Similiar to the Courier chasing Benny across the Mojave. I mean any semblance between the two stories are just regular old west and sci-fi themes.

I have some questions about my "I don't have a build" build.

    Posted: 04 Nov 2019 05:49 AM PST

Whenever I start a new playthough I end up trying to max all skills, and picking the "most generic but usefull perks" because I like to switch all types of weapons. This has always lead me to a lot of doubts regarding which perk to choose at each level. I'm playing hardcore/very hard, my current stats are:

    • S: 6->7(implant)
    • P: 6
    • E: 8
    • C: 1
    • I: 5->8(implant)
    • A: 6->7(trait)->8(implant)
    • L: 8

    Traits: skilled, small frame

    • level 2: intense training(INT)
    • leve 4: comprehension
    • level 6: shotgun surgeon
    • level 8: pack rat
    • level 10: ???(saved before leveling)

    Implants: STR, INT, AGL, regen

I'm avoiding ncr and legion related quests, I'm currently stuck before bulder city, so I'm starting the bos questline.

I don't use any mod that modify the gameplay.

I made this list before starting, I added my questions about some of these perks (ignore the level):

    • 2 Intesive Training
    • 4 Comprehensio
    • 6 Pack Rat
    • 8 toughness(?)
    • 10 toughness(?)

Is toughness that usefull in very hard? I mean, the enemies are stronger, so I don't know if that 6DT are going to make the difference.

    • 12 Finesse(?)
    • 14 Adamantium Skeleton
    • 16 Better Criticals
    • 18 Weapon Handling(???) and/or Heavy Weight(?)

I'll end up with 9 STR(+reinforced spine), I generally avoid keeping heavy weapons in my inventory, but with heavy weight this wouldn't be a problem. Weapon handling with 9 STR feels like a waste. I'll probably stick with Heavy Weight for other heavy weapons like the unique gatling or the auto grenade launcher.

    • 20 Commando(??)

Are any vats perk really worth? Even if I use vats a lot when starting a fight, these fight are often close.

    • 22 Chemist
    • 24 And Stay Back
    • 26 Ninja(???)

Does this perk works? Does one of those bugfix mods like yup fixes this perk?

    • 28 travel light(?)tunnel runner(??)

I like the idea of moving faster, travel light should even synergize with grx implant. I tend to use light armors, just becouse of this perks, however I'd like to use medium and heavy armor too (like the stealth suit, or the riot gear). So I don't know if that 10% percent of movement speed is worth if I'm not going to stick to light armors. Tunnel runner is just an extra at this point, expecially with the crouching speed implant from the autodoc in owb.

    • 30 Implant GRX
    • 32 Implant GRX
    • 34 Laser Commander
    • 36 jury rigging(???)
    • 38 Strong Back(?)

another weight bonus(usefull when looting) or another perk?

    • 40 Silent Running
    • 42 Shotgun Surgeon
    • 44 Piercing Strike
    • 46 Super Slam!
    • 48 Hand loader(?) or slayer(?)

Never taken hand loader, I heard it is good...?

    • 50 Ain't Like That Now or Thought You Died

    Any suggestions are welcome;

p.s: After lonesome road, which special I should increase? LCK->10, STR->10 or...?

Entry 5 of the bb gun only run.

    Posted: 03 Nov 2019 05:02 PM PST

Last time I got Raul and a suit of salvaged power armor. And it was one of the most traumatizing experiences of my life.

Colonel Moore asked me too go spank the Great Khans. I know I can convince them to be suicide bombers because I have a high enough speech skill. But I didn't really feel like it. So I killed all of them. When I saw the two drug-makers in bed together, cuddling, truly in love with each other. I almost had a second thought about continuing my mass genocide. But I had a mission to do.

After leaving the Khans behind, I returned to Moore. I leveled up, and a text box came up saying I now had a better reputation with the Khans. I know have a Liked reputation with them. Which is pointless, as most of their heads are lying in a pile in the Initiation circle. I don't know why they like me more know, or how they like me at all.

I went to the Ultra Luxe to get some Caps. I played Blackjack for a while. Around the second time I earned a prize from the manager, he was taking a really long time. And in that time a Gambler and the dealer switched places. The Dealer was just walking into the Gambler, and the Gambler was still dealing cards. Cool.

I traveled to the three Brotherhood of Steel Paladins too get their holotapes. The first two at Rob Co and the crater weren't to special. But outside of Nellis a Boomer guard teleported to me somehow. He shot a rocket from behind me, and gave me a heart attack. He died however.

I went to the Bunker, told the Ranger to Knob off, used a high science skill to partition the virus in the data stores. Which is still the most annoying thing in the entire game, even if you can partition it. I got McNamara demoted to a Knight, Hardin made me kill the Van Graffs, he gave me power armor. But the set he gave me was almost broken. I traveled to the Brotherhood Armory, and stole a fully working suit of Power Armor. For his crime against Me-anity, of giving me a shitty suit of armor when he had fully working ones, I blew up the bunker. My biggest regret, was that I didn't see Hardin anywhere, not allowing me to see the fear in his eyes, as his only home is destroyed by somebody he once called a friend. Fun Fact, I only used one bb in the entire Bunker sequence. And it was a perfect, hip fire decapitation of Scribe Ibsen.

i got the Finesse perk after destroying the Bunker, which gives me a 5% better chance of landing crits. On top of my 10% I get from a maxed out luck skill. I'm starting to think that maybe Quarry junction wont be so bad.

It's a good idea to throw the radioactive barrels over Cottonwood Cove?

    Posted: 03 Nov 2019 05:09 PM PST

It seems that is the more "canonical" way to kill everybody.

It's the same thing that they did to SearchLight.

The quest name is "Eye for an eye"

Even Astor acknowlegde this when you tell what you did

But, that will contaminate the area and it will difficult the use of it and there is water near.

    What are your thoughts?

Maybe the best is eliminate without radioactive and leave the area for future use.
