Honeymoon included Goodsprings Posted: 28 Nov 2019 03:31 AM PST So my husband is a very big New Vegas fan. It was also the first video game I bought him when we got together without me knowing that he had already owned it once and played 100s of hours on it. Well on November 12, we got married in Las Vegas. As soon as the vows were done and the papers signed, we drove to Goodsprings, NV. I was still in my wedding dress, he in his slacks and dress shirt. He even made me play Marty Robbins songs the entire meandering drive through the town. I would like to think our wedding was his favorite part of his day but I think I lost out to Goodsprings. According to New Vegas, the post-apocalypse will be one giant LARP Posted: 28 Nov 2019 01:02 AM PST The NCR is LARPing as pre-war America I think the only groups that get a pass are the various tribals, their shit seemed to have developed naturally. But goddammit I love it all and fully embrace the LARP. [link] [comments]

New to New Vegas - Help Wanted! Posted: 28 Nov 2019 10:01 AM PST Warning: Word vomit incoming. Thanks to those who stick it out, but if you don't want to I don't blame you! I am basically brand new to New Vegas (bought it when it first came out, didn't understand how to play, sold it back to GameStop for like $5) but I got seriously immersed in FO4 and even enjoy running around the world in 76. I've heard many times over how great FNV is, so I decided to pick it up for Black Friday. My question is how to build my character because I like having a single build that I really invest in (over 500 hours on my character in FO4). In FO4 and FO76 I like playing a stealthy VATS build. Try to stay hidden and deal as high DPS as possible. Not like a true sniper sniper, but more of a stealth rifleman build. I know I want to use a service rifle/Survivalist's rifle for closer-mid range, and probably Gobi or Christine's rifle for distance, but any different advice would be recommended here. As for SPECIAL allotment, traits, implants I am lost. Would appreciate any help, and sorry again for the essay. I just really want to deep dive this new (for me) Fallout world! [link] [comments]
ReShade, Fallout: NV and Windows 10 Posted: 28 Nov 2019 05:29 AM PST Hello. When I try to launch NV with ReShade installed, it gives me 0xc0000005 error code. Is there anyway to fix it? [link] [comments]
So, a mod nearly killed my game, and I need help. Posted: 28 Nov 2019 03:01 AM PST Short version: I installed the Strip Open mod. It was cool seeing the Vegas strip as it did, but then the entire game slowed so much it was almost impossible to play. Even in areas outside the strip, the FPS went to a death crawl. Somehow, even opening the Load screen in the Main Menu causes the FPS to drop. So I uninstalled the mod on Vortex. The FPS still dropped. I went back to a previous save, even using a file I backed up before I installed the mod. Still FPS drop. I even uninstalled and reinstalled the whole game, and it still was like that. I'm figuring out my options. I REALLY don't want to start a new game right now because I'm literally right at the endgame. Any ideas? EDIT: Got it fixed. I had my Nevada Skies mod turned off and on again, and somehow that worked. Not sure why since I had it at the very beginning of my game, but no more framerate drops now. Still, thanks for the help. Posted: 28 Nov 2019 09:13 AM PST Sup, dudes? I just fired up the game again, and decided to name my character "Zebulon" after the famous explorer of the 19th century, and kinda want that to be the theme; an explorer in the wasteland, blazing new trails and doing what it takes to make it in the wilderness of the Mojave/Zion/Sierra Madre/big MT. But I can't for the love of me pick a weapon/playstyle to opt for. I'm torn between "Cowboy" guns like a scoped trail carbine, la longue carbine, and hunting/mysterious revolver, and "grunt" weapons like the suppressed .45, Survivalist rifle, and all-american. And then there's the hunting shotgun.... Help me figure out what weapons setup would be the right fit for my character. [link] [comments]
Posted: 28 Nov 2019 08:37 AM PST So I got this mod and installed it through Vortex, but when I open my game, it's the regular mode. I tried reinstalling it but that didn't work either. Ideas? Thanks! [link] [comments]
Viva New Vegas and Living Desert Posted: 28 Nov 2019 04:51 AM PST So I've just redownloaded New Vegas and I'm going to go through and add pretty much all of the Viva New Vegas mods. Does anyone here have experience of running it with the 'Living desert' mod in its latest release? I know it was included once upon a time, but removed for performance reasons. However, I have a fairly high spec machine and I'd like to give it a go. Are crashes likely/frequent? [link] [comments]
10 Best Fallout 4 Related Mods for Fallout New Vegas- Fallout Franchise Mods no.1 Posted: 28 Nov 2019 02:28 AM PST Greetings everybody. I have quickly put together this mod list containing all my favourite Fallout New Vegas mods that are realated to Fallout 4. This is not as long as my Dead Money Related Mod list for two reasons. The first being that I am currently writing exams and this is just something I do during my break. The second being is that there are not too many mods for Fallout New Vegas that are related to Fallout 4. This is a shame as there where many great weapons and armours introduced in Fallout 4 which could work as mods for Fallout New Vegas.I hope you all find this list useful and if you enjoy any of these mods, remember to endorse the authors. Share any other Fallout 4 related mods I may have missed. If you think these mods deserve a better description than the one I gave it, post your own review and description in the comments. Do not worry I will post my Honest Hearts Related Mods soon after this one. I am planning on creating lists for all 4 major DLCs for Fallout New Vegas, mods related to past Fallout games (1,2,3,4 and maybe 76) and mods related to the Factions of Fallout New Vegas. I may also created a list on mods that are references to other franchises and media in general. Thank you all very much and enjoy. (Not all mods may work for everybody and remember to read the comments on the mod page if you have a problem. T&Cs and Standard Rates do not apply.) -Fallout 4 Dogmeat Companion by KieranCPE: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/59717 This mod adds the German Shepard Dogmeat from Fallout 4 as a companion. Now this is a very simple companion mod as Dogmeat will follow you automatically and he does not have a Companion Wheel. However I must give credit where it is due. The textures are well done and I believe (I may be wrong) that this is the first mod this author has created and it was very well done for a first mod. If you enjoy having Dogmeat from Fallout 4, give this mod a try. -NV Gutsy Handy Animated Eyes by AmaccurzerO: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/66641 This is a simple texture mod that changes the eyes of the Mr Handy type robots. This texture gives them animated eyes like the Mr Handy type robots from Fallout 4. I would recommend this mod to those who prefer the Mr Handy versions from Fallout 4 and who do not fancy the vanilla eye textures. -NV Robobrains from FO4 by AmaccurzerO: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/66681 The same author for the previously mentioned mod above, this one is my favorite out of the two mods from AmaccurzerO on this list. Not only does this mod add a creepy eye on the Robobrains like the ones in Fallout 4, but it also adds animated bubbles inside the dome. This one mod will forever stay in my game. -Fallout 4 - Style Nuka-Cola Vending Machine Replacer by EdibleGrenade12: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/59783 For those who prefer the art style of Fallout 4 to Fallout New Vegas, this mod is for you. This mod replaces the Nuka Cola Vending Machines to look like the ones from Fallout 4. On top of all that it also has an animated screen. There is also a Sunset Sarsaparilla version by the same author, but I did not include it on this list as the Sunset Sarsaparilla drink was not in Fallout 4. -Its All Over Fallout 4 Main Menu Song Replacer by chrisandkyle: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/59339 This mod replaces the main menu music to the song 'Its All Over' by the Inks Spots. This song was used in the Fallout 4 trailers and unfortunately not many Ink Spots songs were in Fallout New Vegas. I love the music of the Ink Spots, so this is a welcome the download and listen to. -Fallout 4 - Inspired Pipe Rifle by EdibleGrenade12: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/60677 This mod adds the Pipe Rifle from Fallout 4 into Fallout New Vegas. There is one in Goodsprings, but they also can be found on enemies such as raiders. I enjoyed the Pipe Rifle mainly because of how unique it was. Unfortunately this only included one type of Pipe weapon. I would encourage other mod authors to add more weapons from Fallout 4 into Fallout New Vegas as well as the other Pipe Weapon variants. Overall this mod has a special place in my Load Order. -Knock-Off Nuka-Cola Blaster by Jokerine: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/61484 Based off the Thirst Zapper weapon from Fallout 4: Nuka World DLC, this weapon mod is an energy based weapon is well made and it forever has a spot in my Load Order. Very creative and effective weapon for all Nuka Cola maniacs (I am talking to you Sierra Petrovita) and Nuka Cola type play throughs. -Knock-Off Nuka-Cola Quantum Blaster by Jokerine: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/63246 A sort of sequel to the previously mentioned Knock-Off Nuka-Cola Blaster mod. Not only is this a great weapon, but there is great voice acting in this mod as well. I am not going to spoil anything, but normally I do not like mods that are voiced acted, but this almost felt as if there was a professional actor involved. This mod has a lot of hard, successful work done to make it one my my most favourite weapons mod I have ever downloaded. 100 Endorsements to the author Jokerine. -Jet Effect From Fallout 4 by Taboo15: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/61449?tab=posts This mod gives the Chem Jet the slow motion effects from the Jet in Fallout 4. Very useful in combat situations. (WARNING: Chems are addictive and bad for your health. Not for sale for those under the age of 18 years. Enjoy responsibly.) -Fallout 4 Inspired Red Rocket Garage Home with Dog Companion and Two Custom Weapons by henukelkoch: https://www.nexusmods.com/newvegas/mods/63511 This well made mod not only adds two Red Rocket Garage player homes, but two custom weapons and a Dog Companion. Inspired by the Red Rocket Garage from the Fallout 4 Trailer, this mod author does a great job in recreating it into Fallout New Vegas. This is one of the most well known and most popular Fallout 4 Related Mods out there and it does not disappoint. This is a great mod for Fallout 4 fanatics. [link] [comments]

Any good private LAN programs to play with a friend? Posted: 27 Nov 2019 10:10 PM PST I was looking into playing FNV with my friend, just like you would play by yourself except it is with a friend. I couldnt find any working ways to do this, so I decided to ask you guys. Does anyone have any recommendations? Thank you! [link] [comments]

Posted: 27 Nov 2019 10:34 PM PST I did a hardcore rifle build a week or so ago and really enjoyed the hardcore part but I wanna try hardcore with something I've wanted to try for a while which is Unarmed. I need to know what SPECIAL stats I should get at the start and what perks I should get also the gear I should get. I am playing the Ultimate Edition for the Xbox 360. [link] [comments]
Posted: 27 Nov 2019 11:21 PM PST Greetings: An issue with it being stuck in Window mode. I never played it in window mode and don't know how it got stuck with it enabled. Checked the ini and it displays my resolution correctly: 1920x1080, there isn't an entry for me to change windowed mode in the ini. Game launcher options, Windowed mode not checked to enable. Screen Resolution shows correctly. Mods installed: NVSE YUP Unofficial Patch Plus w/Addendum Unofficial Patch NVSE JIP LN NVSE Plugin NVAC - New Vegas Anti Crash FNV 4GB Patcher Those are all the mods I currently have installed. I did have more, but the game would CTD before even starting (CTD while in the 1st blank screen). I removed all mods, uninstalled the game, deleted the game folder and started with a brand new install. And this was the farthest I got. I wanted to check to see if everything that I currently had installed was not causing the CTD I had before. nVidia setting is setup to run in fullscreen and is optimized as such. What else could I be missing? [link] [comments]
