Should I buy the normal version of the game or the Ultimate version that I think includes all DLC?

    Posted: 24 Oct 2019 04:56 AM PDT

Probably going to buy this game, since it's less than 5 bucks on steam and I loved Fallout 4. Also building a pc in the next coming weeks, so I thought it'd be a good opportunity to give it a try. Just want to know if I should buy the Ultimate edition or not.

    What's better, unarmed or melee?

    Posted: 24 Oct 2019 05:57 AM PDT

Want to do a melee or unarmed build next playthrough but cant decide which to choose. I'm leaning towards unarmed since the learned moves seems interesting, but melee might be more viable. Also what should my general character build be? Thanks!

    Posted: 24 Oct 2019 03:47 AM PDT

I got fnv and started my first playthrough, but I got to this point where I have to get inside of primm, but every time i try to get into this place named vicky and vance casino I think, I instantly get shot at and cant do anything about it. I already tried disguising my self as a member of that faction but it doesnt matter I always get shot. Is this because in goodspring I helpd the guys there fight cobb?

    Skip Vats killcam

    Posted: 24 Oct 2019 08:07 AM PDT

You know, when you kill an enemy with Vats there is a slowmotion cinematic playing.
That cinematic takes way too long. It's like you have to wait 5 seconds until the game allows you to aim and shoot at the other target, which can run away in that time.
I think remember from playing the game a few years ago, that i was able to skip that animation.
So let's say i am fighting against two targets. I was able to shoot until the head explodes via vats and then press something like "tab" or "e" to get out of the cinematic immediately instead of having to wait until it stops. Or i could shoot at an enemy 3 times via vats but cancel after the second shot. Just like in Fallout 4.
Now it somehow doesn't work anymore. Does anyone know a fix or a mod? The only mods i have installed are ncms textures and the rudy enb.

Just to be clear, i'm not talking about the killcam that you can turn off in the options, turning that off doesn't disable the Vats killcam and i don't want to turn it off, just be able to skip it like in Fallout 4.

Elijahs last words - development mistake?

    Posted: 23 Oct 2019 06:04 PM PDT

After finishing Dead Money you can either give Veronica the Elijahs holotape which will boost her melee attack speed by 50% and give her 30% chance to knock down enemies. If you keep it you will get 50% boost to your melee weapon crit damage.

This perk seems to me like some kind of miscomunication, error that occured during the rushed development of the game. First of all, Veronica is unarmed and not melee, her melee skill is forever stuck at 18, it doesnt make any sense to give her perk for weapon class she isnt designed to use.

Another thing is, if the player keeps it, he gets 50% crit damage with melee. This seems unfair towards unarmed, this makes unarmed even more inferior to melee that it was before. Melee has far more weapons, higher dps, ranged weapons, two handed 30% knockdown with superslam and now it even has biggest sneak attacks in the game?

I am considering modding the game and changing it from melee to unarmed both for the Veronica and the player. Do you think this was intended or do you think this was mistake that never got patched?
