How does Elijah intend to make a nation?

    Posted: 09 Aug 2021 11:25 AM PDT

If you side with Elijah at the end of New Vegas, you are able to wipe out all the factions in the Mojave and take the region for the both of you. Elijah also mentions in game that the red clouds can wipe the slate clean to "begin again". And says that the riches and technology in the Sierra Madre, like the vending machines, are enough to make a nation, because of their ability to dispense and make almost anything.

If you read the ending slide where you side with him, it's clear that pretty much the entire Mojave dies after you and Elijah "nuke" it with the red cloud bomb. Maybe with only a few people in bunkers left.

How does Elijah intend on "beginning again"? How does he want to create a nation? Doesn't he realize that literally almost everyone in the Mojave will be dead?

Does he mention or elaborate at all on how he wants to actually build this nation? You can't really build a nation with just 2 people.

How did the Master not know his Super Mutants were sterile?

    Posted: 09 Aug 2021 12:33 PM PDT

I've been digging around to find this answer. Had they ever been capable of reproduction at any point before-hand? Why did it seem like such a surprise to find out that he literally decided to give up right then and there as a result?

    Thanks

How did the Yakuza end up in the US Wasteland (more specifically in New Reno)?

    Posted: 09 Aug 2021 08:37 PM PDT

Since they're descendants from the Pre-war Yakuza, my best guess is that they went to the US at some point, and when the Great War reduced the world into ahes, they didn't have more option but survive. Like the White Legs tribe.

Is it there more lore upon the NCR Heavy Troopers?

    Posted: 09 Aug 2021 03:48 PM PDT

Greetings. I am curious to know if there is any more lore on the NCR Heavy Troopers in New Vegas besides what I have currently seen. Now I am aware that the NCR Heavy Troopers are the heavy infantry of the New California Republic, and are heavily employed by General Oliver over the Rangers, even if this means using the latter as cannon fodder to make sure that the NCR Heavy Troopers can follow through with their objective.

Also, I know how their armor is not really powered, and the servos were removed due to the NCR not having a way to train the users in Power Armor, but is there something more to them? Because I mostly see information relating to the Rangers, but the NCR Heavy Troopers seem to take a backseat and do not seem to be featured as prominently in-game as the Rangers are.

So considering that I imagine a lot of you are veterans in New Vegas, I wanted to know if you have obtained any other bits or blurbs of information that could tell me more facts about the NCR Heavy Troopers. Thank you for your time.

What natural resources exist in DC for reconstruction?

    Posted: 09 Aug 2021 07:11 PM PDT

FO1 makes it clear that Shady Sands' agriculture seemed to be their main resource in the California desert, thanks to their GECK cleaning up the land for them. Nevada in FONV was known not just for the city of New Vegas but also the State being affected minimally by Radiation damage thanks to House, and Nevada has a strong mining industry which I assume is still there in Fallout's world.

Boston similarly didn't get much in the way of bombardment and it's land and water are usable for reconstruction. Plus all the leftover tech in the city ruins, given how a lot of Big Tech companies would've been in Boston.

Now we come to Washington, the city was hit with probably the most of the Nukes and got some chemical weapons on top of that (which is why the land and water are still corrupted). I did some checking, and it seems like Washington DC's main resources come down to....good quality lumber, large farmlands and clean water. All of which would've been directly impacted by the bombardment.

Does the region HAVE anything useful for trade or economics aside from those things, or did the bombardment truly leave them with nothing to work with? I know Maryland is super close and has a lot of mining so that's one possible resources. But Washington doesn't seem to have anything in its immediate vicinity.

Is the amount of time it took for the shockwave to hit Sanctuary in the beginning of fallout 4 actually realistic?

    Posted: 09 Aug 2021 11:05 PM PDT

I know very little about nukes but I've always been curious about the sheer speed of shockwaves. I know upon impact their speed is faster than the speed of sound but I know the real world distance between north west concord (Sanctuary) and the location the bomb hit, (Presumably south west of Natick banks) to be a vast distance.

Judging the existence of intranet in Fallout USA, was there anything resemble mobile communication tech like from our world? (1G, 2G, etc)

    Posted: 10 Aug 2021 01:59 AM PDT

Radio and television are the only wide communication device that i know when playing Fallout games. The Pipboy can be in theory used as some makeshift phone since its already got decent receiver and computer on top of that, just need voice input.

But yeah, i only play the tactics, 3 and NV, maybe bit of F4. I hear there's more advanced stuff that make as if the timeline moved forward in Fallout 76, like colored tv (which make it closer to early 60s or 70s). So i wonder if there is new stuff in there about this?

Blind Survivors of the Great War?

    Posted: 09 Aug 2021 11:13 PM PDT

When reading about Randall Clark you'll see that he had to kill an older couple who had been blinded by the atomic blast, so i was wondering if there were any nps still alive like ghouls who were blinded by the blast?

76 is the most likely as there are still a lot of pre war survivors, but is a bit iffy as there was about a 20 year period where there were almost no humans in Appalachia because of the scorched
