How did the Institute create thousands of super mutants with only 3 FEV chambers?

Is it a situation like Diamond City where we just have to imply that the lab is much bigger than it actually shows in game? Or did they just non-stop produce mutants for years on end?

Are there any other soldiers/political figures/ goverment figures and or militery figures that were not a part of Enclave and survived the war? If so, what are their stories?

How did the Enclave’s crimes and atrocities become public knowledge on the West Coast?

    Posted: 12 Aug 2021 01:12 AM PDT

Since the Enclave operated in secrecy with a tendency of leaving no survivors except for the non-conscripted denizens of Klamath, the rescued survivors of Arroyo/ Vault 13 and the Chosen One (With only the Chosen One actually knowing the full extent of what happened), how would the knowledge of the Enclave's plans to wipe out the American mainland become public knowledge to the point the NCR considers them War Criminals? Additionally, since the oil rig was blown up and Navarro was literally just a fuelling depot, what tangible evidence is there of the Enclave's crimes and atrocities to the general West Coast?

Why is it that the Enclave having control of America’s Pacific navy is never made into a big deal?

    Posted: 11 Aug 2021 09:25 AM PDT

I noticed that the wikia page for the Enclave (https://fallout.fandom.com/wiki/Enclave) mentions briefly that "According to the Sierra Depot GNN transcript, the Pacific Fleet of the United States Navy was deployed to Control Station Enclave before the Great War, however, its exact post-War fate is unknown."

The source is this transcript: "Transcript of Broadcast March 30, 2076 Today the President ordered the Pacific Fleet to the Poseidon deep sea oil derrick located at a secret location out in the Pacific. He cited concerns over that military exercises staged by the Chinese fleet are "unacceptably close to our strategic oil reserves." The Chinese government denied any hostile intentions."

So does anyone know the deal with this never being brought up in the games? Or is it, and I just completely missed it? I feel like having access to a sizeable part of the most powerful navy on Earth (at least in real life) would be a game changer for a lot of things.

It would have made defending coastal bases like Navarro far easier, it would allow for bombardment of enemies from afar, it even would have been an excellent source of scrap and technology at the very least.

Again, it's possible that this was just included but never brought up in the games, but to me that seems odd since having the US navy at your command would be a huge advantage in any number of ways. Plus, I assume there were tens of thousands of men on those ships, so the Enclave would have had to do something with them.

Is there any lore reference for how heavy a full suit of power armor is?

    Posted: 11 Aug 2021 01:52 PM PDT

Aside from the weight values given in game that seem to be motivated more by ease of use for the player to carry around than what they might actually weigh.

I've heard different things tossed around like how the T-51 was lighter than the T-45, and the T-60 was heavier than either of them, because that armor has two layers of plating where the T-45 has one, and the X-01 was made of lightweight alloys or something, but I don't believe they've ever gone into detail about how much power armor weighs.

In Fallout 3 a whole T-45 suit weighed 50 pounds. Those were different days where the suit was more like apparel and not a vehicle, but that still seems too light for what it is. A full suit of T-45d power armor in Fallout 4 weighed 110 pounds, with individual pieces weighing anywhere from 20 to 15 pounds or so. For reference, they are essentially saying that this big, bulky T-45 legs are as about as light as those 20 pound dumbbells you lift at the gym. They are saying that a suit of T-45d armor is about as heavy as a bag of concrete from Home Depot. I used to pick up those bags of concrete for a living. Looking at the T-45, I couldn't see myself picking up that suit bare handed.

What gives? That can't be right. Does anyone have a lore based or realistic explanation for how heavy power armor would be?

Even though the lore says the T-60 is much heavier, in game it weighs the same as the T-45, so it's clear that the weight in game is disconnected from the lore. So how much is it supposed to weigh?

How effective are NCR Rangers as soldiers, compared to other soldiers of the wasteland?

    Posted: 11 Aug 2021 06:46 PM PDT

I saw a meme video on YouTube called "NCR Ranger Lore Vs Gameplay", and it shows the ranger as being an absolute unit in the lore, and that got me thinking; how strong are they? Obviously the video is exaggerating (a whole lot), but I assume it is based on truth. Am I right? How effective are they compared to, say, a Centurion?

Is entering Navarro with T-51 a bug or intentional?

    Posted: 11 Aug 2021 08:43 PM PDT

Playing Fallout 2 again, I enter Navarro while wearing T-51 power armor and all the base staff (including Dornan) treat you as though you are in uniform. I know that Enclave trainees wear T-51 on the oil rig, so is this intentional story telling? Or is my game/the game in general, bugged?

How old is everyone in vault 76?

    Posted: 11 Aug 2021 10:57 AM PDT

The vault was closed in 2077 and opened again in 2102, and we don't see any children in it. Does that means that everyone is 40+ years old (considering that everyone was at least 18)? Or people brought children with them that grew in it?
