    I've been in the hospital recovering from Covid for 6 days. This recording of Radio New Vegas has helped me sleep while hooked up to medical equipment and having constant tests.

    Old World Blues alternative ending

    I finished playing Old World Blues today and thought of an alternative ending for it. If you played it you would know that Dr O hates Robco and he's quite jealous of Mr house. I thought if the courier told him ( if you left house alive) that he's still alive and convince him via a speech check to fight house. Tink tank robots vs Sercuritrons. Although it would have to be if the Scientists were able to leave the think tank but I would still like to see that fight and see who would win.

    New to New Vegas.
    1) I am only level 8, but my guns skill is at 90. IF I take it to 100, will weapons in the "guns" category stop increasing in damage? Or are there other skills/perks that will increase damage later? It just seems really early for them to already be kind of maxed out on damage. I know there are better guns out there to find that will do more damage but just curious if I am understanding the mechanics correctly.

    2) What is the consequence if I use a gun that I do not have the strength requirement for?

    The time No-bark Noonan accidentally laid a devastating insult on Benny

    When you first go through Novac and ask No-bark Noonan if he has seen a man in a checkered coat, he says that he has, and that he had been talking to the sniper with a moustache (thus directing you to Manny Vargas). He also says that the checkered coat is camouflage for aliens who can only see in black-and-white checkers, but they won't be fooled because he forgot to put checkers on his face. He says he told Benny that, and he seemed to take it to heart.

    Let's imagine the interaction taking place as described. No-bark comes up to Benny, compliments him on the coat, but says "you forgot to put the checkers on your face". Now, Benny is leader of the Chairmen, who speak in that odd old-timey slang we're all familiar with. What No-bark says is, by complete coincidence, interpretable as being in that slang - and "put checkers on your face" easily translates to "check your face". So what Benny likely heard was, in a literal sense, No-bark calling him ugly, or maybe, in a more metaphorical sense, saying that anyone can look through his nice face and realize he's deep in shit. Which we later find out to be true, as Mr. House is fully aware he has the Platinum Chip.

    Sometimes I am truly amazed by the writing on this game, and by this character specifically. I mean No-bark, of course.

    Beyond the beef bug

    I'm doing a pacifist run of new vegas and I sneaked past every enemy in beyond the beef. I sneaked past the two guys who attack you in the investigators room and i managed to lose the assassin who kills chauncey but for some reason I keep getting in caution even though I've long finished the quest and am nowhere near the ultra luxe. Is this bug well known and if it is, is there any fix to it?

    Having trouble changing my name while using a Steam Controller

    I'm currently using the steam controller and have a preset that uses the the 360 game pad but for some reason I have trouble changing my name. I activate the keyboard on big picture and it somewhat works but won't allow me to capitalize my letters. Anyone else have this issue. Or do I need to use an Xbox controller?
