Within the lore and universe of fallout, how do the automated turrets, both laser and ballistic, function?

This goes across the board for turrets at Brotherhood of steel strongholds, raider welded turrets, camp and settlement turrets and any others unspecified. I'm curious about identifying friend or foes, ammunition capacity (aside from gameplay mechanics and limitations of course), possibly who manufactured the original models, and anything regarding them that seems interesting.

What is Col. Autumns secret juice

    Posted: 30 Sep 2020 12:39 AM PDT

Do we have any idea what Colonel Autumn injects himself with at project purity when your Dad sacrifices himself? Is it simply super radx or radaway? If so do we see any other examples of this in the other games or is it a one off. Seems like a pretty powerful item for the Enclave to have nothing documenting or producing more of?

Is there any in game reason there are so many different pipboy models?

    Posted: 29 Sep 2020 06:08 AM PDT

Like in fo1 you use the pipboy 2000 which I'm pretty sure is a tablet like version. But In fo3 you get the pipboy 3000 which was the same type in fonv but then in fo4 it has a more rounded appearance. But in fo76 we get the pipboy 2000 MK VI why is this?

Is the legion and NCR homophobic?

    Posted: 29 Sep 2020 12:55 PM PDT

The prostitute jimmy from Westside talked about how he was a slave and his master would use him for his own desire, and that it was a secret and if they were caught than the punishment is death. Major knight from the mojave outpost also explained something about how homosexualility is frowned upon (i don't remember much of the details)

Why is the Brotherhood so divided from state to state and even within its own ranks?

    Posted: 30 Sep 2020 12:27 AM PDT

I noticed that no 2 Brotherhood chapters are the same. They all lead, move, and act differently. In Boston, the brotherhood are ruthless. They make their presence known and use extreme and deadly force to deal with their campaigns. While Lyons Pride in DC, where Elder Maxon grew up, is without a doubt Morally good and good out of their way to help and save people. In the same breath, the Brotherhood Outcasts are formed because of conflicting their ideals were. And in the Nevada, the Brotherhood remain isolated and have little to 0 influence on the wasteland and it makes me wonder how they even survive as a group living underground. Even Veronica says something similar to this and that's why she left, and Father Elijah is just a psychopath that spawned from this chapter. How can the Brotherhood be so conflicted with their own ideals within their ranks?

(This is not a "Obisidian or Bethesda has a better brotherhood or writing, this topic is addressed in game by many NPCs)

Could the Legion ever be a threat to NCR as a whole?

    Posted: 29 Sep 2020 08:44 AM PDT

I would personally say no, but I still want input from you guys. The way I see the war is similar to that of the Third Servile War, when Spartacus amassed a massive slave army and shocked Rome to its core. The Legion is a grave threat to the NCR's Mojave division, but its Mojave division doesn't contain the bulk of its military. Spartacus and his army did win victories when they fought a tiny fraction of the Roman army, but once the bulk of the Roman forces were focused on them, it was over very quickly. Spartacus and his army only lasted as long as they did because Rome took so long to focus the bulk of their forces towards the Servile War.

Even if the Legion obliterates every NCR holding in the Mojave, they have no hope of taking California, even if Caesar was immortal and didn't have terminal cancer.

I've heard some people claim that the water and energy provided by the dam is vital to NCR and that taking it is a huge blow to all of NCR. I am not sure as to what extent this is true.

Is there any scenario in which the Legion could become a threat to the entire NCR?
