Are there any blueberries in any of the Fallout games? Or even any mention to the fruit?

Why are Cyberdogs common in the West, but don't exist in the East?

    Posted: 17 Jul 2020 06:15 PM PDT

It would seem the Cyberdogs were built to help guard Military facilities and sniff out any Chinese Spies, so wouldn't it make sense for Washington DC and its surrounding areas to be full of Cyberdogs?

Why does Chinese threat seem much more evident on the East Coast than the West?

    Posted: 17 Jul 2020 05:52 PM PDT

I find it strange that there seems to be massive amount of Chinese fear on the East cost but it's rarely mentioned on the West cost even though its much closer to mainland China. In fallout 3 and 4 there are not only many Chinese firearms and swords all-over there are are also anti Communist posters and propaganda and many more mentions to the "red menace" then in the west cost games. On the West cost there are of course the shi in California but other then that there are just a few standard wartime propaganda posters why is this the case?

Do animal mutafotions depend on the location, or are they same across the entire wasteland?

    Posted: 18 Jul 2020 01:20 AM PDT

Like cows are Brahmin, they have two heads. They're the same in every fallout game (I think). But are there creatures that are the same animal, but have mutated to look different depending on the location?

How is the NCR at risk at Hoover Dam?

    Posted: 17 Jul 2020 07:54 AM PDT

It is well established in New Vegas that the NCRs position at the dam is precarious at best and a determined push by the Legion could probably force a retreat from the dam if not the whole of the Mojave my only question is why?

The NCR is established to be able to mass produce standardised semi-auto rifles as well as easily being able to contract more heavy weapons from the Gun Runners. Light and Heavy machine guns are shown to exist in the fallout world such as the mini gun, 'the light machine gun' and the flamer which are all available in at least substantial quantities to the NCR . With heavy firepower like this combined with the huge amount of landmines in the Mojave, barbed wire (which I assume exists in this world) plus other fortifications, the Rangers and salvaged power armour units combined with the natural choke point and defensivibilty of the dam would make a crossing hard for well equipped armies and holding it a breeze for the NCR especially considering their opponents.

The Legion is mostly made up if spear wielding fanatics unable to fight effectively without the input of their officers, equipped with homemade armour and medical supplies. Evenknow the numbers of the basic Legionnaires combined with their fanaticism, strength and brutality might be effective when attacking undermanned, poorly equipped and low moral isolated NCR outposts.and patrols they would be slaughtered at the dam when faced by actual guns, static fortifications and large quantities of fresh high moral soldiers. Yes I know that when we fight at Hoover dam most of the Legion's attacking force is made up of actual well armed elites, I've always assumed their the shock troops making up the first wave of the assult on the dam who in small numbers and high discipline attack through the pipes when the bulk of the legionnaires are to incompetent and I'll equipped to do so. The whole legion army being suddenly supplied with high tech weaponry just doesn't make sense to me as this is not established or implied. You could argue that the Legions lone artillery cannon would dissuade the NCR from completely blockade the dam with landmines, machine guns and barbed wire but the gun is only aimed at the ridge where rangers sniped from before (which they dont during the 2nd battle making the gun worthless) but bombarding an ancient dam that hasnt seen proper maintenance in over 200 years risks destroying their only large scale crossing point over the river.

Obviously, I know that there are real world reasons for the NCR's precarious position but I can think of no reasons from a lore perspective.

    How exactly robots work

    Posted: 17 Jul 2020 07:56 AM PDT

    I've read the viki article on robots, and I don't understand some things, please help me out;

    1. How are they powered - I guess they are nuclear robots? Fission batteries? Tesla generators?
    2. Also what is the difference between a fission battery and a Tesla reactor?
    3. What does the "motivator" part do? It's seen on machine when you targets It in classic fallout.
    4. Why does some of the robots get mad and kills everyone on sight, but some of them does not?
