| Synths Aren't Human, But Are They People? Posted: 11 Oct 2019 11:24 PM PDT I know it is a WELL discussed topic but I just got around to playing Fallout 4 again. And this time not as a moronic nutjob running and gunning like Whitey Bulger in Boston. So this bears the question, which side would you think is the MOST moral and utilitarian faction? On the BoS side; you have those wanting to purge the wasteland of anything monstrous, which is a good thing, but this includes the Synths. Which leads to a debate of whether Synths are people. The BoS, Institute and Humanist arguments are no, but the post Humanists say yes. The "I think therefore I am" sort of thing. Valentine, for example, is more human than some of the characters in the game (ala Data in Star Trek). While the institute believes that Synths are property and in their minds, it isn't slavery. Maybe I'm thinking too much philosophically now but as much shit as we gave Fallout 4, it certainly is a decent game. Unlike some other Fallout game that shan't be mentioned. [link] [comments] |

| So about Lilly from New Vegas.. Posted: 11 Oct 2019 01:52 PM PDT I totally forgot the story of Lilly from Jacobstown. Replaying it just now and speaking to her made me remember that she was a freaking granny (75 years of age) when the Super Mutants raised her vault and dipped her in FEV. That's so messed up but so hilarious at the same time — even in Nightkin form she dresses and speaks like a granny. That's a great example of what makes the classic Fallout humor so great. Posted: 12 Oct 2019 12:56 AM PDT My personal favorite was in New Vegas, I used cheats to get my guy a suit of remnants power-armor, and a special laser-rifle. He allied with the Brotherhood of Steel the Mojave Chapter, and is now on a bloodlust for the man who crumbled the Enclave, turning them from a post-american government, with the most strong types of power-armor and weaporny, into just a group of 8 people, of bickering anti-NCR pro-enclave ex-soldiers, waiting to die. I can't WAIT for him to see an NCR soldier for the first time. [link] [comments] |

I've never played the franchise before and I wondering which is best game to start with for a beginner to the series? Alot of people recommendation online are to start with fallout 3. | Posted: 11 Oct 2019 04:06 PM PDT How many of you, people, actually went down to the street in power armor and with Minigun in order to fight raiders and deathclaw ? I never did it. Actually, it never crossed my mind for several reasons:
So I stayed at the roof until deathclaw showed up. Then I cut and run, because my ammo situation wasn't that great. Returned later with more ammo, and killed the poor thing while hiding inside the store across the street from museum. Actually, I hated to do that, because poor critter was just trying to mind its own business, unless someone got too close. However, everyone keeps talking how I went toe to toe against deathclaw. | Did you like the skill system from Fallout 3/New Vegas or do you prefer the Fallout 4 Posted: 11 Oct 2019 10:05 AM PDT I liked the Fallout New Vegas or Fallout 3 perk system, where you can focus points onto skills you need best (lock picking, speech, etc.), but they changed that during Fallout 4 (personally hate that you have to get to LEVEL 18 to get master lock picking) where you have to get to a certain level to get a better lock picking or terminal, and how speech is just plain RNG now [link] [comments] |

How do I do this? It's a deathclaw matriarch and I can't figure out how to set it essential, I've tried multiple different ids and none of them have worked. He admonishes the Mechanist for using untested Robobrains which were dangerous and unpredictable, but then he hops over to his Robot Factories and mass-produces machines with Robobrains. I myself have made over 50 machines with robobrains. In my headcanon my character is actually a psychopath who uses his settlements as brain farms for his robobrains. [link] [comments] |
