Posted: 30 Oct 2019 03:05 AM PDT I have been playing fnv for almost 1000 hours. and in all of that time, i have been cursed by todd with the worst curse one can be cursed with: no music. when i tune in my radio to ''mojave music channel'', i hear nothing, no loops of johnny guitar, no static, nothing. the worst thing is that other radios work perfectly fine. when i will enter casinos, ncr bases, and bars, i will hear music coming from the radios. i need help from anyone who has experienced something similar or willing to help. i have the following mods enabled: sprint mod fnv v1-4 grenadehotkey130 yukichigai unofficial patch dusty desert v2 and nvse scripts [link] [comments]

Skill minimums to get the best stuff in Dead Money? Posted: 30 Oct 2019 01:21 AM PDT Hey all, On my second playthrough. Beat Dead Money last time, but barely, and with a melee character who'd theoretically have advantages. This time I'm a gunslinger (uh oh), but hopefully knowing what i'm in for will help. That said, I missed a bunch of loot/perks/story last time. What are the skill thresholds I need to hit to get the best stuff out of this, my second and likely final playthrough? Anyone used the NCR emergency radio? Posted: 29 Oct 2019 05:52 PM PDT I didn't use it at all for the longest time, it was just something handed to my character often waken up early in the morning by the NCR ranger. But then I decided some free stuff wouldn't hurt. First I tried supply support, both times the radio ranger returned talking about the radio. The first crate hovered in the air but was easy reachable. The next was buried in the ground and only one corner was visible. I then went and found some Legionary assassins to punch and decided to let a ranger join the fun. It went well and it was clearly somebody shooting that wasn't Boone or Ed-E. It was near field's shack and after hunting down the last of them we went to Crimson Caravan because it had gotten late and it was time to turn off the computer. When a woman in NCR uniform shows up "Ranger reporting in" I thought she would just help me with the fight and move on. But she is welcome to stick around. Do you use the radio or at least tried it? Playing Honest Hearts for the first time, just realized I killed Follows-Chalk right at the start Posted: 29 Oct 2019 09:56 PM PDT To be fair!!! It was in self defense. The guy was shooting at me when I first encountered him and I didn't realize it was a unique NPC. However I was reading a bit about the dlc before bed and realized that he was a companion and has a few quests attached to him. Is it worth totally restarting the DLC to have him? I've really enjoyed wandering Zion solo and think it's provided a really cool atmosphere, but I also wanna make sure I see the best stuff the DLC has to offer. I've played about 4 hours of it so far. Helios one is not killing the NCR, bug? Posted: 29 Oct 2019 11:10 PM PDT Helios one is not killing the NCR, bug? I arm helios one to kill the NCR I flip the switch and no one dies. What is going on? [link] [comments]
Posted: 29 Oct 2019 04:02 PM PDT I was watching this video When the creator of the video shows this encounter. Which shows a lonesome drifter, whose father we are led to believe is the Mysterious Stranger (its never explicitly said he is but it's heavily implied) who shows up in VATS occasionally to help you if you have the Mysterious Stranger perk. I believe this encounter is a reference to a song performed by Johnny Cash called "A boy named Sue", here are the similarities between the song and the lonesome drifter. Opening lyrics "Well, my daddy left home when I was three And he didn't leave much to ma and me Just this old guitar and a empty bottle of booze Now, I don't blame him 'cause he run and hid But the meanest thing that he ever did Was before he left, he went and named me Sue" Similarities
Later on in the song. "I'd roam from town to town to hide my shame But I made me a vow to the moon and stars I'd search the honkytonks and bars And kill that man that give me that awful name" Similarities
"And if I ever have a son, I think I'm gonna name him Bill or George any damn thing but Sue I still hate that name" You can tell him about a job at Aces Theater, if you do you can pass a barter check to get a gun called Mysterious Magnum, you can find him performing there at Aces later on in the game, this proves they aren't the same person because in the song he says "And he didn't leave much to ma and me Just this old guitar and a empty bottle of booze" no mention of leaving him a gun. The last similarity is that the lonesome drifter is dressed in all black with a black hat and black boots on and Johnny cash is famous for being "the man in black". The reason i made this post is because i couldn't find anything with decent info about this reference. All I found was a fallout fandom wiki page about cultural references where it's mentioned (for some reason it wouldn't let me link it), this video and this Reddit post . TBH I mostly made this post for my own sanity because I know if I didn't I wouldn't be able to stop thinking about it. Just to clarify, I'm not saying they are the same person. I just thought it was a nice, little reference that flies under the radar unless you know the song. TL:DR There is an encounter in FNV where Johnny Cash is subtly referenced. Edit: formatting got fucked up after I posted [link] [comments]
Posted: 30 Oct 2019 12:04 AM PDT I seem to have fucked up my body textures somehow. I've been playing for about 20 hours with no problem, but I just tried to install a new mod and now it looks like it's using the default textures instead of breezes/type3 on my naked body textures as well as armor textures. I've since uninstalled the mod (using mod organizer 2 so it shouldn't have overwritten anything), but it's still happening. I also resorted with LOOT after installing the mod, not sure if that could've messed it up? Also, I opened the game with the launcher to get it into fullscreen, could that have caused some problem with the ini? Does anyone have any idea what I could've done and what I could do to fix it? BoS base level 2 causes my game to crash. Posted: 30 Oct 2019 03:44 AM PDT A problem with BoS base. When I go into the 2nd level of the BoS base in order to destroy it in the Render Unto Caesar quest the game will crash. I have the 4gb patch installed and have disabled mods to try to fix it but to no avail. I have even tried lowering the graphics to see if that would help. Are there tips or is there a console command that would let me blow up the BoS base without using the terminals? [link] [comments]

Posted: 29 Oct 2019 03:17 PM PDT So i loaded up my old game of fnv where i beat all the quests and dlc. I was outside the gun runners so i bought some ammo and reloading equipment and then when i completed the transaction my game crashed. No biggy right? Fuck no. I loaded again only to find that my game crashes when I fast travel, open doors, and exit conversations. I take out the disk to inspect it and there's a cat hair on it. I thought "wow am i really that dumb?" Well yes i am that dumb, but removing the single hair didn't help. Now I'm stuck in an endless loop of loading and crashing. This is the end of my run, thanks for being here. [link] [comments]
TIL the ending slideshow is just a room Posted: 29 Oct 2019 03:34 PM PDT and an npc is saying all of the lines. You can only initially notice it if you play on a high fov, since the default is 75 it's not wide enough to see the carpet or anything. idk how common this knowledge is but it was rather enlightening. The best S.P.E.C.I.A.L. build? Posted: 29 Oct 2019 02:38 PM PDT I'm looking to do "one last" run of NV and do as much as possible in it. It's a game I love but haven't explored as much as I once though. I'm looking for the most optimal build for my last run at her. [link] [comments] |
