About to play New Vegas for the first time. Posted: 03 May 2021 05:10 AM PDT Hello all. I am about to embark on a first play through of NV after seeing just how much praise it gets. I'm an old time lover of RPGs and can't wait to try it for the first time. My only question is, what is the best route to take with Mods? I am not interested in ENBs due to stability issues. I've heard that the Viva New Vegas guide is the best overall for stability, performance, and visuals. Is this true? Im looking for general Vanilla + DLC play without anything crazy. Any help for a newcomer to the Mojave would be more than appreciated! [link] [comments]

Why do the Vault 34 survivors call you outlander? Posted: 03 May 2021 05:19 AM PDT After I saved them and visited them in the aerotech office park, they all called me outlander. I looked this up and can't find anything mentioning that term or tying it to Fallout. Is it in reference to Morrowind maybe? or is there something I'm missing? [link] [comments]
Posted: 03 May 2021 09:52 AM PDT Just got a PC and can finally mod this game. I'm not running that many mods but the game is constantly crashing as soon as I get near or try to enter the Saloon in Goodsprings. Can anyone help? [link] [comments]
A tid-bit about Cass's quest and her ending Posted: 02 May 2021 09:44 PM PDT If you kill the Van Graffs before getting her as a companion (such as "accidently" letting the guy with bomb blow up the Silver Rush) in Heartache by the Number you can still get the evidence from both the now dead Van Graffs and Alice's safe, give it Ranger Jackson and get the Calm Heart perk. After finishing the Battle of Hoover Dam on my NCR character, the ending slide that talks about the fate of the Van Graffs and Crimson Caravan didn't appear for me and instead just showed Cass's ending slide after an NCR victory. So if you want to kill Gloria and her shithead brother and not get a "bad" ending, there you go. In fact, the lack of a ending slide for the Van Graffs and CC with this route actually leaves their fates open-ended if you're creative like the CC still getting investigated by the NCR with the evidence you find and the Van-Graffs' deaths being caused by someone seeking revenge for the two parties schemes. What are the true effects of faction armor? Posted: 02 May 2021 11:54 PM PDT Ive never really wanted to use it, buuuuut that legion centurion armor do be lookin good. Does it negate any and all improvement of factions reputation or can you still gain/lose reputation with it on? [link] [comments]

Posted: 02 May 2021 10:28 PM PDT I accidentally deleted my save file. It would've been fine if I had already finished the game, or just started because then at least I wouldn't have to work my way back up. But no, right as I was doing GI Blues, I deleted the save I had made just before I killed a Kings guy. Because it was a Kings guy, the quest failed and I couldn't go back. My dumbass hoping that there was some sort of save that the game kept just in case, closed the game and came back to the menu screen. I don't think I've ever been more mad at myself than when I saw the game say there were no save files. All of this, because I felt like killing a guy for shits and giggles. It's even more annoying that I really like this game, but I don't know if I even want to come back to it now, because I don't want to do all of that again. So what did we learn here kids? Don't delete every save file other than your last.. Thanks for coming to my rant and have a good day. [link] [comments]
