    Fallout 4 is Beautiful

    Posted: 25 Jun 2020 05:25 PM PDT

Been thinking about the BLAST RADIUS board game and think I may have figured out how to play it:

    Posted: 25 Jun 2020 07:12 PM PDT

What we do know about the BLAST RADIUS board game from looking at the box:

    • For ages 5 to 29.

    • Has two 6 sided Dice.

    • Has a Powered Spinner with a wired controller for it.

    • The Board is circular with 4 zones (Ground Zero Inner, Ground Zero outer, Middle Blast radius, Outer are of blast) and each zone is a different color except for both the Ground zero zones which are both red, the Middle is orange and the outer looks tanish color.

    • Game Board zones have 12 spaces each with the exception of the Inner Ground Zero, so a total of 36 regular spaces and the ground zero space being the Starting space (Makes sense to make the big single space the start space)

    • With the way the Children on the box are set up, I would believe this to be a 1 to 4 player game.

    • Each of the 36 main spaces each have their own symbols, 9 different symbols total: Car, House, Skull&Crossbones, Medic cross (Plus sign), Water drop, Food symbol (Fork&Spoon), Arrow symbol (Looks like a play button), Radiation symbol, Bomb Symbol.

Here is how I think Blast Radius is played:

    • Players choose a Player Piece (Not shown on box) and place them in the center space that also has the mushroom cloud in it.

    • they then select someone to be the Spinner controller (the cord looks like it would get tangled around the Cloud if passed to others in the game so like many other types of games a controller of Spinner control makes sense)

    • At the beginning of the game each player rolls the dice and whoever has the higher value goes first and then it goes clockwise or counter clockwise most likely, but once the order is figured out, then they must roll evens to get out of the start area and go onto the House symbol, once on the house symbol their first time their turn ends.

    • once the player leaves the start zone and is on the house, when its their turn again they Roll the dice and move as many spaces as the value and only in the same colored zone until they land on a symbol, each symbol has their own purpose and rules that must be followed (What I think each rule is for each symbol down below).

    • the players must land on the symbol in order to follow the symbol they landed on and cannot leave the zone they are in until they land on the Arrow symbol.

    • when on an arrow symbol, the players turn ends and at next turn will roll the dice, moving up to next zone will count as one space and then they player will use the remaining number of spacing in that new zone, if on the outer most zone and they player lands on it, then they automatically move out of the Blast radius and are the winner.

Here is what I think each symbol means:

    • Nuclear Bomb: If a player lands on this then activate the spinner, anyone in the spinners path after it stops and anyone on a Radiation sickness symbol must go back to starting space (They died)

    • Radiation Symbol (Radiation sickness): If player lands on this, player may only move half of their rolled spaces next turn, if an odd number of spaces, round down by 1 space to make it even number.

    • Arrow Button: When a player lands on this, on next turn they will use one of their spaces to move up into the new zone and use the rest of the spaces in that zone until next arrow can be reached, if landed on the last arrow located at the outer most zone, then player automatically clears the Blast radius and wins the game.

    • Food: If player lands on this, roll dice, if Odd then food poisoning occurred and on next turn player can only move half of their rolled space count, round down by 1 if odd to make even., if Value is even then take another turn as for you filled your belly with food.

    • Water: Same as food, but water was contaminated if odd and if even you satisfied your thirst and can keep going by taking another turn.

    • Skull & Crossbones: Instant death and player must go back to start and try again.

    • Medical symbol: is same as Food and water, but with bad reaction to drugs or good reaction to them so can take another turn.

    • House (Shelter): first time landing on this from the start zone the players turn ends. If this is the second or more time that the player has landed on it, lose a turn for getting to comfortable.

    • Vehicle: If player lands on this, roll dice, if odds end turn, if evens player takes another turn (no negative effect for odd)

I honestly think Blast Radius is a game of chance and luck, the box says quick reaction time & skill to get to safety and so if you know how to role the dice you can quickly get out of each zone and cleared, but need luck so not to die from Nuclear blast and its effects.

I have been thinking about this for so long that I think this is how it is played, and now I want to play it.

    What do you all think?

Is Fallout New Vegas still worth playing in 2020

    Posted: 25 Jun 2020 07:04 PM PDT

Is Fallout New Vegas still worth playing in 2020. I have played it once but it was a very long time ago when I was still a child. Should I play a second time with mods or no? And if so what mods should I use?

    Thanks

Midway through New Vegas and I’m pretty stuck.

Siding with the NCR, and at the mission where you convince the Boomers to join. But I'm broke, my armor and weapons are awful and I'm always running low on ammo. Level 16. Any tips for money?

Permanently renaming npcs for New Vegas

    Posted: 25 Jun 2020 11:53 PM PDT

Is there a console command or even a mod that allows you to change the name of npcs without using the geck. I am very tired of having to retype "setname "Ghoulbert-Gottfried"" on my companion everytime I boot up the game

Is there anyway I can listen to the voice lines in F4 when taking Psycho?

    Posted: 26 Jun 2020 03:28 AM PDT

They're some of the funniest and craziest lines in the game, and something I didn't expect at all when using the drug. Are there any files online or ways I can listen to the game files?

What if Robert Edwin House got the Platinum Chip a day sooner? New Vegas Theory

    Posted: 25 Jun 2020 09:21 AM PDT

So...I already did a Reddit post on this a while ago but since 25th June 2020 is the day Mr. House is born, this is a special day to let more people know about this theory. I wanted to donate this theory to a popular Fallout YouTuber so they could make a video on this, I even recorded and edited video clips and have other resources for parts of the theory to help out if needed. Unfortunately, I had no luck when trying to reach out to several Fallout YouTubers.

    Theory:

    https://docs.google.com/document/d/1l4khYp_NIRFBpy34F36eOCio_49t-Orij9zmExT_1-0/edit?usp=sharing

It isn't 100% completed but the main bulk of it is there. If anyone wants to add or point anything, they can. If anyone knows a Fallout YouTuber that would like to have this made into a video, let me know!

(F:NV) Which parts of the game do you find yourself getting lost in no matter how much playthroughs?

    Posted: 25 Jun 2020 08:40 PM PDT

Just replaying the game for the thousandth time during this quarantine and wondering which parts people get lost in no matter how much times they play.

I am currently doing dead money (for that sweet sweet voucher and assassin suit) and I realized I am ALWAYS lost and frustrated when it comes to finding Christine in the casino. It also made me remember of another mission I find myself lost in everytime I do it.. which is the vault mission with all the plants.

So I ask you fellow gamers; which mission or area do you find absolutely confusing and/or frustrating?

Going down the Danse/Brotherhood of Steel path for the first time, I absolutely hate how they handled the story and the writing for these situations. (Spoilers)

    Posted: 25 Jun 2020 11:49 AM PDT

So obviously we know Danse is a synth. He's extremely loyal to the BoS, as he's been his whole life (or at least he thinks he's been). I don't hate the idea of Danse being a synth, I actually love it, but when you get to Blind Betrayal, the writing really starts to rear it's ugly head.

How is there absolutely NO way to pass speech texts to do one of the following:

-Convince Danse to detach himself from the BoS and live his own life.

-Convince Maxson to allow Danse to at the very least, assist me in my efforts to help the BoS. He doesn't have to be allowed on the Prydwen, but the whole idea that he's shot on sight while I'm working for the BoS is absolutely stupid.

I think with the way they did things, Danse shouldn't have been an option to be a companion. It almost feels like he really isn't supposed to be a companion. You have to either kill him or exile him, but you can't go against the BoS or Danse will turn on you.

The whole speech check to spare Danse is an absolute cop out, and it doesn't fit the ideals of the BoS or Maxson. If you say "you kill Danse, you lose me from the BoS" then why the FUCK do they attack him when he's with me, roaming the wasteland, and WHY THE EVERLOVING FUCK can't I defend myself and not have Danse go AWOL on me?

This writing and decisions by the narrative team is absolutely awful. Here's how I would rewrite this whole scenario:

Convince Maxson to Spare Danse, like you can in BB, but you are automatically banished from the BoS as well. (Because let's be honest, why tf would Maxson still put up with you if you care that much for a synth.) To allow Danse to continue to be your companion, you have to pass speech checks or something, and slowly as you travel with him he starts to realize the errors of the BoS and he realizes that he is his own person and can think for himself, so he commits to the Sole Survivor.

Or, at BB you just kill Danse and move forward with the BoS.

The fact that Bethesda wrote it in a way to try and save everyone and keep everyone happy ultimately isn't compatible with the gameplay. Danse should be able to prove that he is more human than Maxson thinks. Imagine being able to side with the Railroad, and fight the BoS with Danse at your side, imagine the dialogue in those situations.

But no, Danse proves to be the most Synthy-synth to ever exist, because he's programmed to do one thing: Suck the cock of the BoS at all costs.

    Fallout 1 First time tips

    Fallout 1.

Hello! Not to be a bother or ask stupid questions, but would anyone be willing to drop some tips on how to play Fallout 1 for the first time? It's quite a challenge and a different type of game than NV and 4. I just started my first play through and really am confused on just how the game works. Thanks!

    Are synths intelligent life?

    Posted: 25 Jun 2020 09:11 PM PDT

Me and my friend keep arguing whether or not synths are beings who deserves rights just like humans. This argument is coming from missions in FO4. In my friends game he chose to kill all the synths with the brotherhood. I chose to help synths with the railroad.

Idk what question we are really arguing. I mean I know synths aren't human, but does that mean it's ethically okay to destroy them? What you guys think?
