    Has Cass Always Died During Birds of a Feather?

    Posted: 12 Mar 2020 09:25 AM PDT

    So, when I was younger and played this game, I don't remember Cass ever dying during this quest, but I'm not sure if it's Mandela Effect or if they maybe updated it? Was this updated into the game at some point?

    Does finishing "Chaos in Zion" still add the HH weapons to Vendortron?

    Posted: 12 Mar 2020 10:34 AM PDT

    I want my .45 Auto but I don't want to bother with the DLC, so I was going to kill everyone.

    I know doing this will probably lock me out of certain unique weapons, but I don't really care that much.

    What’s wrong with the ultralux?

    Posted: 12 Mar 2020 10:30 AM PDT

    What the hell is so wrong about the ultralux that it makes my Xbox burst into tears begging for me to put it out of its misery? I swear to god half way through 'beyond the beef' my game would freeze on a black screen every 3rd time I went into a different area inside the hotel.

    Archive INvalidation for Texture Pack

    Posted: 12 Mar 2020 07:11 AM PDT

    I want to play FNV for the first time so i decided to only install those mods:

    * 4GB Patch

    * AntiCrash Patch

    * NVSE

    * YUP

    * And the Medium Texture Pack from NexusMods

    I used the NexusMod Manager in the past but don't want more software on my current computer. So I wanted to install those mods by hand, but i guess i need the "Archive Invalidation" done by the Manager - or can i do it manually too?

    Help is needed!

    Posted: 12 Mar 2020 04:45 AM PDT

    Help is needed! I went through the quest "Two boots of a pair" (at least it is translated from Russian), but the guards, Jean Baptiste and everyone else in a silver rush began to attack me for no reason. How to fix this? (Sorry for the poor translation).

    I am now 3/4 for completing all Fallout: New Vegas DLC starting at level 1. Now it's time to walk the Lonesome Road...

    Posted: 11 Mar 2020 06:18 PM PDT

    A few weeks back, I set out to complete all of the DLC content in Fallout: New Vegas satrting from level 1. Now, I am on console, so I could ensure I had 0XP because of the lack of console commands, but the 20XP I did have starting each DLC was negligible.

    Challenge 1: Honest Hearts

    Honestly, the most difficult part of this DLC was getting there without hitting location markers, and getting past Quarry Junction without a stealth boy. Once the DLC began, however, it wasn't too bad. There are weapons galore, and for the most part you can very easily lose enemies attention. In planning, it was clear that for once, the Claustrophobia trait would actually be viable for once, and the early game perks such as Hunter and Entomologist were truly a blessing. Nothing was very difficult, or unfortunately very fun. Other than occasionally running out of ammo, the DLC wasn't very challenging. Ultimately, I finished the DLC doing Grahams ending, leaving me at level 12.

    Challenge 2: Old World Blues

    Fucking this crater and everything it stands for. It started off great, level 4 before even leaving the Think Tank, but what I hadn't taken into account was the guns skill check to get the K9000. The first half of this DLC had to be completed using the Pulse Gun and a Saturnite Fist. It was not fun. Tanky enemies, limited medical supplies, and abundant ambushed meant frequently sprinting for the edges of the map in order to get teleported back to The Sink. Eventually, I got the LAER, and made the mistake of using Optimised Ammo from the Vigilant Recycler perk, this only served to drain the condition of the weapon, and at over 10,000 caps for a full repair, I was boned, by Y-17 Trauma Harnesses, laugh please. Getting the 3 components ranged from a piss-easy transmitter collection, a piss-easy stealth section and Hell's own fucking High School. Seriously, fuck those Cyberdogs and especially fuck those Nightstalker, why did I go back there. Anyway, technology collected, now I just needed Science 100 for the Robo-scorpion boss. It was a piece of cake after sprinting past it. Now it's just a matter of talking to Mad Mobius, my bastard Brain, and the Think Tank. About as easy as it sounds. After this, I decided to fully complete the DLC, but this basically surmounted to fast travelling to the quest marker, shitting on a few mobs, doing battle cries about how powerful I now felt, and restoring the Sink to its former technological glory. Old World Blues was completed at Level 18.

    Challenge 3: Dead Money

    Initially, I was most worried about this DLC, but spoilers, it turned out to be a cakewalk. No trouble getting there, getting set up with a decent ammo supply and weapon variety, and all 3 of my heist members recruited. The main pain of Dead Money was getting enough skill points. Many containers and terminals remained locked as I focused on Speech and Energy Weapons. Now, why speech? We'll get there in a moment. The Gala Event wasn't too much of a challenge to get set up, with the strange abundant amount of stimpaks the game throws at you, brute force was a very viable option. Up in the bell tower, my camera glitched, in a way I've never seen before, it felt like my character had doubled in size while being unable to move. This let me snipe off the Ghost People below before they became a threat. Inside the casino, I gambled my way to breaking the bank, then it was time to confront the crew. Dog/God was first. This is where the speech comes in handy, as to talk him down you need at least 85. I had 65, and had taken comprehension, given the amount of skill magazines in the villa. Next was Christine, I spent more time getting lost than being under any actual threat. I then looted a corpse of it's pretty dress and made way to confront the Ghoul. Dead Domino is an odd bastard, if you use skill checks at ANY point during conversations with him, his feelings get hurt and he'll turn on you in this final section. Thank fuck I knew this already or I would've been extremely disappointed without the charismatic blokes support. Oh, I've forgot to mention, the most difficult part of this DLC? Not the Ghost People, not the Cloud, it's the goddamn beeping radios. Fuck them. I've now got PTSD from the beep on my microwave. They were extremely annoying in the Vault itself, as I'd never gotten this far into the DLC, and was therefore blind to their positions. In the Vault, I ended up having to fight Elija, not having enough points in any skill to be able to talk him down. The fight wasn't all that bad, with an upgraded Holorifle and Overcharged cells. I ran out of the vault with 5 gold bars and returned to the Mojave at Level 10. My last goal was to giver Veronica the dress.

    So, Lonesome Road. The final mile. How am I going to do i? With Sentrybots at the start, Deathclaws in the middle and Tunnelers throughout? I have no fucking clue, but I'm not letting go yet.

    Mod to increase font detail?

    Posted: 12 Mar 2020 03:12 AM PDT

    I know there are a few mods out there that change the font to something different. Typically smaller, thinner, etc. with an eye to fitting more text on-screen. But all I'm really after is a font that is not conspicuously too low-detail on a standard 4K monitor, which the vanilla font obviously is. Otherwise, I'm not after changing the way the text actually looks or anything like that.

    Suggestions welcome.

    Need Advice on Playthru

    Posted: 12 Mar 2020 02:26 AM PDT

    So I'm like level 28 on my 3rd playthru on New Vegas. First playthru I went with Yes Man ending and purposely left a bunch of stuff undone to make a second playthru fun. 2nd playthru I RPed I was an NCR agent and made decisions from that angle, solely what was good for the NCR. I did the Old World Blues DLC on that 2nd playthru and absolutely hated it to the point it traumatized me and I just ended my game after and didn't play the game again for like a year. I just recently started a 3rd playthru and I'm like 90 hours in and fucking Lily disappears!?! I cannot find her and now there are no bighorner in the pen at Jacobstown either? Am I looking for her in the wrong place? I had her as my companion before twice and came and got her from Jacobstown before, to do the Doctor's quest and dismissed her at 188 to get Veronica to do her quest. Finished her quest and wanted to do Lily's but now she is nowhere to be found...?!! I also can't do Raul's quest now cuz of some bug with Loyal's dialogue which I'm hoping resets once I do more of the Boomer quests? I'm also wondering, since I didn't use my favor with the King and and I know you have to start either the Mr. House or NCR quest to switch to the Legion I'm wondering can I set the Kings up right with the NCR before switching to Legion? I did Lily's quest last game but this is kinda really upsetting me cuz I was looking forward to questing with her again and I can't...... I'm so far in I don't wanna restart so I feel I have to just proceed but wonder where she is? I retraced the route from 188 to Jacobstown and don't think time is the issue cuz it's been some time.... I suppose in this playthru just continue and hope she reappears? I'm playing on 360 so console commands are out of the question... I went and got Arcade for now and am going to try to get the Remnants to side with the Legion. I just was really hoping to do all Companion side quests like I had first playthru. I still have to do Honest Hearts, Lonesome Road and dead Money as well.

    Tips on starting an unarmed playthrough with a strict rule of no melee, guns, or explosives?

    Posted: 11 Mar 2020 10:35 PM PDT

    These boxing gloves aren't doing shit. I don't know what to do weapon wise. I'm kind of doing a challenge run I guess. Any tips on where to grab a decent fist weapon out of Goodsprings?

    Why were Vulpes and his dudes travelling with so many Legion dogs when they were around Nipton and why did they leave so many to chew on the remains?

    Posted: 11 Mar 2020 01:37 PM PDT

    This suggests that the Legion mass-trains dogs and releases them en masse as a form of zoological warfare, but I haven't talked to Antony in ages so I don't remember what he has to say about that.

    In all probability I figure Obsidian didn't know what to put in the town hall so they just spammed Vulpes' goodest boys everywhere but regardless of that I'd like to hear your thoughts.
